It's not like the staff here are stemming any sort of great political uprising or anything. If we wanted to hush up some sort of illegal Ti release for certain reasons then we'd be perfectly entitled to do so. Would you be OK with people posting child pornography on the boards under the free speech mantra, or do you agree that the line has to be drawn somewhere, and it's a totally arbitrary decision where it's drawn either way. The concept of free speech is a stupid ideological myth that's far too often touted by holier-than-thou assholes who just want to kick up a fuss because they feel they're not getting their way. I'm perfectly happen to give up so-called "free speech" if it means a forum less populated by fucktards and on slightly better terms with people who actually matter.

Hell, we're not even censoring discussion about leaked Ti, and that seems like something that could get us in trouble even though we didn't leak it. Ghett0 said something dumb, and then muf told him it was dumb. There was no infringement of freedom of speech here. TC is a pretty free place, guys. I don't see the issue.
Which is why I got riled when he bitched about free speech. The moderators would be perfectly entitled to ban discussion about the leaked Ti if they so wished, and nobody's human rights would be violated. The fact that the staff are not banning the discussion is irrelevant to his complaint over apparent restrictions in free speech here. It could be banned, and he'd still be out of line for complaining. TC has no responsibility to being some sort of hub for people to find and download illegal tetris-related files. If people have issues with that, then they should sodding learn how to use Google.
