  2. Half a euro per token? That's pretty expensive.

Or is it one credit per game instead of two?

    hmm,

    not that much i think...

Last time i entered a game center it was 1 per credit, with a money counter limited to accept only 2 coin... [IMG]

expensive of course, but what can you do if you want to play it ? you just shut up your mouth and release the cash... [IMG]

I don't know how much it is in england but 1 for 2 credits ?

  4. In the UK, usually 1 for 1 credit. Arcades have almost completely died out here, with a couple of notable exceptions in London. The only place to find a machine now is in bowling alleys.

  5. Yeah, there's usually a few arcade machines in Bowling Alleys. There's usually a Time Crisis arcade machine (or similar) in most cinemas too. Amusements halls usually have one or two as well.

I've never seen a proper video arcade. Probably due to console gaming and the ridiculous price they charge per game on arcade machines. They are usually 1 per credit. I just don't have the money to afford that.

In the United States, the typical price is 1 USD for four credits, with deep volume discounts if you buy $20 worth of credits at once (e.g. 140 credits for $20). But then a DDR machine might take 3 credits.

  7. So 140 credits for 10... that's less than 1/10 of what most UK arcade machines cost. Even if you need multiple credits, that's still cheap.

Around here, the cheaper games are 50 cents a play and things like the dance games are $1; at some places it's twice that, I know. Of course, that's still substantially cheaper than it is in the UK, evidently; 1 a game is...absurd.
