I have two regrets. 1) 900-999 could've been a lot better b) I wasn't recording iii) It was on the keyboard. I have three regrets.
GM, 999 @ 10:54:13 Could've probably had 10:52 or so if I didn't botch a J placement. Had to triple tap but the game only registered two taps. Luckily, the misdrop kept column 5 high. Holy grail: I beat Kevin and got over 200000 points.
Don't give up Meroigo. The closer you get the more frustrating it is when you fail, but you can't keep being unlucky forever. Just need to persist a little more. I still regret posting my first GM before you. Had I known at the time that this was going to happen I would have waited for you to get GM first. I bet you would have gotten the grade within 2 weeks. Such a shame really. At least you're playing on the real hardware now.
Ai wanted me to play this again so he could have something a little more up to date on the scoreboards. Here you go Ai, sorry if it's a little late!
WOW even more amazing than I expected. If you can do this within 24 hours then sub 10 minutes is within your reach. It certainly wasn't just talk when you said that pier21 videos inspired you to get under 09:30. I'm motivated to try to get sub 12 minutes by the end of the week now!
I have no defense, no way to ripost. After travel, diner and shower the evening, I have around 90min to breath before sleeping and awake at 6:30am.. I really wonder if it even worth to buy a stick if I can't play at all.. Ah, 3h in the week end ? Is it enough to keep my level ?
1st GM 12:37:xx 2nd GM 12:18:xx 3rd GM 11:44:45 This could have been even faster if I didn't mess up near the end. My time was just under 10:30 before entering the last section. I think that says it all. Next target is sub 11:30. But I'll leave that for next year. I'd rather wait a while and shave off a lot of time instead of struggling and only improving marginally. EDIT: Updated the WR with 777's most recent record time. My Grand Master Ranking: Scary!
He he i'll have to fix that. I see you made >160 000 points. It mean you made many tetrises or combos after 500, so you definitely have the skills to do what you know...
Good luck! 20G stacking was very good between 500 and 900. Afterwards I lost focus and play was chaotic. I would be TGM 20G GM if I didn't lose focus so easily or if I could correct mistakes faster. Really, my 20G lacks a lot of finesse and isn't stylish like that of many other players. I play very aggressive without much fancy moves. Too bad I don't have a replay of the game above, then you would have seen that it's a miracle I even managed to get to the end. My best times in Normal mode in Texmaster are as followed: 0-499 ---> 05:55 500-999 ---> 05:25 This means that in the best case I could finish the game in 11:20. When I lower this time to 11:00 I'll try to improve my TGM GM time. That's basically my strategy.
Ai: I'm pretty sure Texmaster Normal mode has inaccurate timing, even compared to an actual TGM1 board. Also, if adding section times from multiple games was accurate, I'd have TAP Master 999 in under 9 minutes by now
