mushroom, i'm gonna sound like your echo, except i did best my gamepad best: New TGM1 personal best: Gm in 12:48:41 also with my new HRAP3 stick, in less than a month after getting it.
That's awesome that you both have been able to switch so quickly. Now if people are concerned we can point them to you guys and say that it only takes a few weeks to cross over. Also deepdorp omg you have tied Poochy!!! This is unprecedented.
So how is this going to be settled? Score or is date more important? Oh yeah congrats to the both of you! EDIT: I just noticed Poochy stays on top. So I presume the date is of more importance. Also Amnesia it would be nice if you updated my place on the leaderboard. I feel like posting a new personal best to force you to do so, but it isn't easy. EDIT 2: Thanks!
man, i hate playing this game cause of the stubborn i-pieces not hopping over stuff. i've gotten so used to Ti that going backward to TGM1 and TAP is harder.
didn't play this one for ages so just gave it a go trying to get the biggest score I could and surprisingly, I also beat my time-record
Around 5 months without playing TGM1, for my really first attempt since July : Code: Gm @ 10:25:86 Here as well, the speed of TI helped me a lot..Now I have the feeling that I have 10 seconde for each tetriminos to select the best position.. If I had not failed the begining, forgetting that we have to play high for 0-300..I would have break my record simply in one attempt.lol In opposition to Digital, I don't need more than one try to perform a Gm sub 10:30..
Nice improvements everyone and thanks for posting videos. I was going to try and get S7 before the end of the year, but I'll do it later when I've improved my 20G play. Hopefully I could aim higher by then.
Right choice! Play with the 20G code until you can survive 500 levels or close to 500 levels! I really want to see you reach S8!
Thanks LOst! My problem is confidence when playing 20G. I don't have the confidence to stack high, to manual lock and use three buttons all the way, to do overhangs and use the cool twists which are necessary to succeed, to stack for tetrises etc. When watching replays of others I see how they keep surviving even when the stack is totally messed up. Because you people find creative solutions to get your way back down or to rectify the mistake. When I misdrop or make a big mistake it leads to other mistakes and ultimately to me topping out in almost all cases. One of the biggest difficulties of the game for me is that one needs to play 3 different styles (0-300, 300-500 and 500-999 sections) within the same game. To adapt to the new playing style is still difficult to do for me. Before even attempting to get S4 or higher in TGM I need to start up Texmaster and play a few 300-xxx games to warm up. I feel very confortable getting S5, but S6 is still not easy to do fast. When I get the hang of 20G I will get S9 very fast. Until then I will keep trying. But first I'll take a break for a while.
well last weekend i finally got a gamepad/joystick working with my mac and have started playing the tgm take on tetris. fun stuff i'm glad i found this game thanks tetrisconcept! I've got a way to go, but figured I would set a starting point now. this is some of my first tetris with a joystick. i haven't gotten my sanwa in the mail yet, so i'm playing with a stock hori fighting stick atm.. i'v been spending more time in texmaster special ti setting the game at 500 to learn 20 G S2 for now
It's better to use Texmaster Normal at 500 for TGM 20G practice. Also you can use the following key combination to access 20G in TGM: push 8 times DOWN and then the buttons C,B,A. Try to get S3 before 300 in TGM. And good luck!
