Well, I'm sure there are plenty of excellent Japanese players who started after 2004, too. I see what you're saying, but it's 2008 now, and I think after so many years it should be fair game. You don't want to make excuses for losing, do you? As for "non natural japan" or "everybody," I think the current TC record thread style goes: everybody who posts their record on the thread (nationality isn't important).
This discussion is semantic hairsplitting. All TC records threads are for TC members who wich to participate. Nothing more, nothing less. Let's not get a big head like Twin Galaxies now.
I know what I say caffeine, we are not less strong than them, c_t reached the first Gm, in 2008, and began on 2005 right ? The first japan DEATH Gm, began on 2000 and finished it in 2003.. Where is the problem ?
i have to agree with caffeine. it doesn't matter where you're from, and there are western players with more experience than some Japanese players.
we must also keep in mind that the first jp players didn't understand the game when it first showed up, so of course it took longer for them to figure out it's secrets. Anyway, i agree that TC record threads should be for all participating members. Most of the jp players stay away from here, so we can't just grab their records.
You said the only difference between western players and eastern players was the head start. I was saying that shouldn't be an excuse to separate the players.
rrhaa.. I am not racist caffeine ! it doesn't matter for me if japan players want submit their scores.. But no one do it..It is not my fault..
I don't see why any of the really good JP players like KAN would want to submit their scores. It proves little to them really.
INP : Gm in 10:34 http://www.sendspace.com/file/0lpgop It is boring and satisfacting in the same time, that I did an attempt so close of my record and so awfull.. Very poor game between 450 and 800..I know thank this one that I can beat jago on a lucky attempt..
holy crap, another one. i wonder why. probably a lucky run or maybe i'm improving slowly after all... (05/01/0
So I have been playing some TGM on ZiNc and I have a couple of questions. 1. What is the difference between the Mastering Time and the time shown under the play frame when the game ends? Which is the time that is used in the rankings? I presume the score is not really of any importance for the ranking. 2. Is playing with keyboard more difficult than with a stick? I'm going to buy a stick during the summer holidays, so right now I'm stuck with playing with keyboard and gamepad. I tried using two Logitech gamepads (Cordless Rumblepad and Wingmang Precision). The cordless one with analog sticks is pretty much useless because it's too responsive and the other one is not so responsive. Maybe I can change that by tweaking the gamepad controls, but I haven't yet looked into that as of now. Therefore I was forced to play with keyboard. I had some good runs pretty close to the S2 rank. My problem right now is that the speed after level 300 is just too brutal for me. Especially if the stack is too high and not very even. Basically all I can do right now is to aim at getting as high a rank as possible before I reach level 300 after which I get slaughtered. I don't stand a chance right now... There was one run where I achieved a level around the 380 mark because my stack was at ground level when level 300 came around. My best games so far: Rank: S1 - Mastering Time: 04:45:06 - Time: 06:20:35 - Score: 20475 - Level: 320/400 Rank: S1 - Mastering Time: 04:42:81 - Time: 06:26:33 - Score: 20864 - Level: 341/400 I'll post a photo of my best game later after I know which of the two is better. Or maybe I will have achieved S2 by then. As always thanks for any help in advance!
