So i was playing texmaster this whole time, and unable to get past 700 (basically getting 6 cools, essentially all tetrises then dying) on Ti Master mode. Then i read some thread saying "the more cool u get the faster the game goes" so i sat there letting it auto-lock and VOILA i get to 950 (with like rank 2 and a shitload of REGRET's) TL; DR: FUCK YOU TGM 3 MASTER MODE SPEED SCALING SYSTEM.
Yes, i used to hate it too. Play good and it kills you, play terrible and it let you play. But this issue goes away when you get bit better, then it's always fast, so you don't need to worry about it anymore. Also i think TGM3 grading system is overcomplicated, maybe Mihara made it that way so it would be harder to make clones.
But hopefully a new stuff can help you to understand how it work http://tetrisconcept.net/forum/showpost.html?p=47371&postcount=14
The important thing for master mode in TI is the grade, not the level. So the lower level game with 6 cools is the better performance. I do think the cool system is a bit annoying, but the speed scaling isn't what bothers me.
The answer is simply to become faster. 1200 speed is it, and once you can do that then you can finish the game. That's when it becomes interesting.
