Records: [Texmaster] Special and Sudden Ti

Not only do you need to play fast to get the section cools, you also need to have the stack low when you pass x70.


You can stack at lightning speed, but if you have too many extra pieces on the screen when you pass x70, your time will be too high for the section cool. You need to get all 4 tetrises in without the stack getting too high.


If you pass 70 while waiting for two tetrises, you have lost too much time.

 

If I understand this right, doesn't the level 000-070 require a time of less than 52 seconds? If so, that's not really a demanding task in my opinion. Even with my horrible firm dropping finesse and imperfect line clears due to misdrops, I passed x70 with a midfield stack with many seconds to spare in Special Ti.

 

Nothing special needs to be done for the section 0 cool besides reaching 070 in 52 seconds or less. Same goes for the rest aside from the time limit.

On the road to high speed, there are many misdrops.

 

the point is that if your stack is low, and you score more tetrises, you will reach 070 faster then if the stack is high, given the same placement speed. It makes a few seconds difference.


And that is the most demanding of the section cools to hit, as the lower ARE in the later levels allows for faster play, especially when you skip to the next sections speed curve.

 

speaking of which, i just hit 20g at level 300 for the first time. and that was with a really sloppy 200.


If i had nailed 200 as well would have been s2 easily.

I still believe having a low stack at x70 to be very important as I cannot seem to get that first section cool without it, but i now know that as long as you aren't clearing lots of singles, section regrets are simply a non issue, as long as you aren't stuck at the level stop, and stacking high before you get there helps you on the section cool for the NEXT level.

Whilst still on the topic of Ghett0, I think it's about time we gave him a second chance. From monitoring his behaviour in #tetris, I think he's definitely shown much more maturity recently. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: He's making real efforts to be more honest and mature, and I think we should acknowledge them. Caffeine, I know the original arrangement was to ban him until April 1st or until he got an S7 or something in Heboris 20G #G4, but what say you, shall we let him back early?
