Records: [Texmaster] Special and Sudden Ti

  1. You should try and focus on your initial few sections. You're nearly there! While 12-15 seconds may seem like a lot to shave off, you should find that removing 5 seconds or so from the first 2 sections is a lot easier than shaving 2-3 from 300+ until you are very comfortable with the top end of the SudTi speed curve.

All scores in classic mode, right?

Feel free to submit World mode scores, but bear in mind that it is not very accurate when compared to World mode on an actual TGM3 machine.

  4. Amnesia

There is no way I play it when I can have a good fun on HEBORIS with TI WORLD system.

  5. World scores?! On my leaderboards? D:

It's more likely than you'd think.

  7. As long as they are marked as such, I guess...

  8. And in their own thread

  9. I`m so proud to say you that I finally complete the Special Ti mode for the first time... Even I completed the full End-Roll

    Special Ti: M8, 999 in 07:53:66

I got to play more faster...
    Well, I`m so happy hahaha

  10. Very nice! Great job! Do you have a video? I'm interested to see how you play and if it's at all similar to how I used to play about 2 years ago.

Also one thing that I should point out is that you actually don't have to play any faster at all. If you get all cools and an S9, you will get the fully invisible roll. There's no time requirement other than the cool requirements, which you almost met. I would focus on playing at a speed that you can comfortably consistently achieve instead. This will let you attain all the cools and go for the invisible roll. Personally, I started working on the invisible roll training when I was around m8, so I would suggest you do the same. Speed can come after you've attained consistency in the invisible staff roll and the rest of the game.

Look forward to seeing even better grades from you!!

Congrats nahucirujano! I'd like to see a video of this game as well or you could share your save file. Great progress in a short time. Good luck getting M and higher. Maybe you should focus on breaking the torikan in Sudden Ti. ^^

  12. KevinDDR and Ai thank you for support me and thanks for your advices...

Well, here I give my video`s link:

    Special Ti: M8 - 999 in 07:53:66 + Full End-Roll

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q7fFaUilGhE

Usually, I make more Tetrises and Triples, but this time I make many mistakes at first, AND at 599`s Level Stop my dad called me and why`s that I lost a lot of time in that section... :@
Wherever, I`m so so happy, finally, like a 1 and a half year ago I started to play Special Ti and finally I finished it...

You`re right KevinDDR, I`ll take your advice and play at confortable speed, and I should start working on the insivible roll training... But how can I practice it? I mean, Texmaster doesn´t have this challenge (like a cheat), does it? Or you mean Phantom Mania from Nullpomino? I really like to practice it...

Ai!!!! Sorry I didn`t send you more messages!!! :S hahaha
My new objective now is to get M or higher grades ;)
And you`re right yoo, I should focus on breaking the first torikan of Sudden Ti... Look I give my best Sudden Ti video:

    Sudden Ti: 500 in 03:09:25 + End-Roll 00:17:71

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BsxVEe1NJH0

As you would see, if I play at normal speed (I mean, without locking the pieces by myself) I reach Level 500 but out of time... If I play faster I make many mistakes and I lose the game... Actually I can`t finish the first 3 sections under 34 seconds... :S
I got to training more hard...

    Well, that`s all...
Thanks to both of you for your advices...

    Regards...

Edit: sorry for double post, my internet conection doesn`t work fine right now... :@

  14. EDIT: Okay, just watched your video. Are you aware that there is a firm drop in TAP and Ti? You need to use that if you want a good time. Place the piece where you want, hit up, then down very quickly. That will instantly drop and lock it.

Texmaster does have the invisible roll as an option. When you select Special Ti, go down to level 999 then push right until 5sec changes to VOID. That's the MM-Roll setting. Additionally, I would encourage you to play some Phantom Mania in Nullpomino using the Classic 3 ruleset.

One thing to keep in mind when training is the general potential for each roll:

If you play for the fading roll, the maximum grade you can achieve before the roll is m8 (S9 with 8 cools). The most you can probably feasibly earn in the fading roll is 3 grades. If you're Edo or DIGITAL or colour_thief you might be able to pull off 4, but you'd have to be manual locking like a madman at 210tpm or something to do that. With this in mind, we can say that the fading roll maximum grade is MK.

If you play for the invisible roll, the maximum grade you can achieve before the roll is m9 (S9 with all cools). There is no real limit to the grades you can earn in the invisible roll. Players like KAN have achieved at least 12 tetrises plus other line clears in that roll, resulting in more than 15 grades earned. If you clear the invisible roll, you earn 1.6 grades for completion. The fading roll only gives you 0.5.

    Here's the conclusion:
    - If you can earn 3 grades or more in the invisible roll, you will be likely to achieve a higher grade by playing for the invisible roll.

While some players have intentionally missed a cool in order to prevent themselves from entering the invisible roll, I would really just suggest that you get working on the invisible roll now. At the same time, don't completely neglect the rest of the game, though. I would suggest experimenting with something like stacking for as many tetrises as possible in a game of Sudden Ti or something like that. Work on improving your stacking in the 1200+ speed section of Special Ti. Tetrises are very important from level 750 onwards if you want an S9 coming into the roll.

Jeez, I'm rambling now. Better go. Hope this helps anyway. I'm probably the wrong person to ask for advice because my playstyle is so bad I've had the term "kevholding" named after me.

  15. Amnesia

    Amnesia Piece of Cake

this game is a shit. (I mean texmaster! not your game nahucirujano, and by the way I mean TGM3 and not tex), with 1min30 faster and 2x more tetrises, I use to get m8 as well with the keyboard. IS IT normal, honnestly..
Take my advice : go on HEBORIS.

  16. Let's not go around leading people astray because of our own peculiar tastes now, Amnesia.

    By the way I forgot : I missed a M rank, this week end, I lost at 998 with a m8. :p

Amnesia, forget about the grading in TGM3, it's biased towards players that are good at invisible play. The completion time is a far better indicator of overall skill.

By the way, have you sorted out your joystick yet? I've been awaiting your "second coming" for a long time... ;)

    And you can wait...
My FSTE is still waiting inside his box. I will have internet soon so it should be better then to find a plan to sell it. I am having some good progress with keyboard, I am reaching my same top speed than before but I can't perform most of my magical moves..2x rot is dead as well..

  20. KevinDDR thanks for your advicessss :D
It was an excelent explanation, it really does...
Now I understand very well this all grade and roll thing... Thanks bro`

About using instantly drop and lock it, if I use it in Sudden Ti I start to make many mistakes and lose after 300. even so, I`m actually training in that area...

Other question: Do Heboris and Nullpomino have an Avi Record option?
