Code: Sudden Ti =================================== Name Level Time =================================== Digital --------- 799 3:40:50 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PVlFCbilPA0 Can't believe I flustered and missed my opportunity to break 800.
Extracted from the wiki : shirase 300-499 : ARE : 4 DAS : 6 Lock : 15 Line cl : 4 How is it possible to have a DAS longer than ARE...Is it a mistake ?
In Death 500+ the DAS is longer than ARE. Maybe even in some earlier levels, too, but I'm too lazy to check.
In Tetris for NES, the DAS delay is about 15 frames, but ARE is 10 frames. As far as I can tell, 20G is playable as long as 1. DAS delay isn't longer than lock delay plus half of ARE, and 2. ARE is long enough to get an IRS in. So in that section of Shirase, ARE can be so short because lock delay is long enough.
hence why it is better to not lock manually unless you are planning to place the nest piece at or near the center at high death speeds.
That would explain why it is a lot harder to lock at 2 tm/s at DEATH 500 than locking at 2,4 tm/s at DOOM 200.. Ohh.. I finaly understand..
I decided to give this another go on a whim. TI-Special Code: EIHoppe ---------- S9 770 05:46:91 Still no Master, but it's an improvement. Next on the docket: locking at level 1200+ speeds. ~EI
