Actually with the current 0g rules, ARS can do t-spins that SRS cannot, if the rule is set to 3 corner t no kick. I know i will lose, but i think i might want to enter the 0g.
T-Spins are way too shallow without the kick rule anyway. I'd prefer to just exclude them altogether if I had to play without kicks. Anyhow, depending on when this tournament will take place, there's a high chance I'll be a bystander. Circumstances concerning my laptop overheating (busted fan) and me getting a new laptop somewhere next month makes it impossible for me to partake in this tournament.
the problem isn't only affecting me, after looking at a gameplay video i think there might be a problem with hebo's garbage countering. during some recorded games with caffeine, i noticed he has the same problem as me. Here is an example of the problem I'm talking about: caff sends 2 lines I counter those 2 lines with my own, but still receive those 2 lines. caff then clears a single line which incorrectly registers as adding 2 more lines. I gain a total of 4 lines instead of 0, caff gained 0 lines. and vice versa with me doing it back to him a few rounds later. If this is a problem with hebo's garbage countering then maybe playing with it off would be a good idea for the tournament.
so THAT'S why blink was kicking my ass so badly, even though he was only alittle faster. my garbage wasn't registering because it was failing to counter properly, while he kept hitting me. I KNEW something was up!
It won't begin until a several moment, it let us lot of time to resolve these kind of problem. We are only 10, I am not even sure we will be 16 the next week.
I was thinking about entering 0G, but then I decided that I'll have to sit this one out. I've been putting my job before Heboris over the past year, and I don't feel ready to go up against players who would almost surely four-stock my sorry arse.

I'm in for 0g SRS. I was wondering if we can use different rotations for different contests. I would like to do 20g soft but with ARS. If that makes things too messed up then I will just stick with 0g SRS.
No problem Red Star. Currently, it is decided that every players will have a free choice for any contest..You can choose SRS or ARS where you want.. I just want that people tell me their preference to have some statistics.. The structure of the contest may change regarding the final proportion of ARS/SRS..
it happens the other way around too, so yours could have been adding me when it shouldnt have. you weren't the only person countering garbage, especially if we're about the same speed as you said. more importantly, what's to stop this from happening to someone during the tournament, with garbage countering on. I already know it doesn't happen to only me.
Well, there's a dememted see-saw effect at work. You beat me to a clear, i get lines, i try to counter, i still get them, you get none, you clear again, i get more lines, and before long my screen is filled, and yours is at least half empty, because all my line clears are made with lines waiting. With garbage cancel off they would have been a LOT closer. When people aren't so fast, the problem deosnt' seem to show nearly as much, but under a rapid barrage of line clears, the onw who strikes first and moves faster has a HUGE advantage. It's the "you go slightly faster" case that is the worst, because i spent most of my time clearing when i've got lines waiting.
How to tell that.. Ok, it seems that there is a several and important problem about the managing of the garbages by nethebo, blink, I did not understand the video you sent me.. I am a bit bored about a point, it is really hard and tiring sometimes to accurately follow the whole discussion about these problems. I still don't really know what is the hell with this story of garbage. If only someone could write me a very short and simple abstract of the situation... i'm in. EDIT: I plan on using SRS for 0g and ARS for 20g. I also plan on entering all of the tourneys.
