hello, it's maybe a stupid question, but how are they doing video to tgm3 ? this game is not emulated ?
Most arcade games[1] output a video signal. Certainly anything that plugs into a JAMMA cabinet does. And this signal can be converted and captured. [1] By "most" I mean practically everything except electromechanical games such as pinball and some redemption games.
Using special equipment, it is possible to record arcade games on a real arcade machine. There are not many, but some arcades have TGM3 set up like this, so that players can bring a VHS tape or DVD-R to record their game.

TGM1 GM in 9:19:41 (Official) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wYbB2A31krw such a good time, even with a lot of blocks left behind at 999.
What's with TGM1 players and stacking insanely high? I've seen LOst do it in TAP videos as well, but I've never really seen "native" TAP players do it. I understand that I'm only a tetris padawan and that's probably the reason why I don't get it, but are there any valid reasons for stacking so dangerously high?
Like Tetris for NES, TGM1 has no firm drop or hard drop. Before level 300, nine rows of empty space at top of well == nine frames lost soft dropping, or about ten seconds over the course of a section.
Additional advantage between 300 and 500: a high stack makes it effectively play like 20G, adding consistency to an otherwise very dangerous part of the game.
Wonder what that guy's saying? There's a version with English subtitles on the wiki's list of videos.
Finally, those two players, DIGITAL and kotetsu are really better than I thought when I arrived here, 1,5 years ago..I don't understand..I have never stopped my training more than 10 days..How it is possible.. Recently I began to think that they had chosen a way more focused on speed and me more on stacking, but after watching the kotetsu's DOOM, I have to admit I am not as strong as I imagined.. Maybe it is a proof that we are not equal.. I will enter again into a tetris depression..I want stop everything..
