Considering the source is Hudson themselves.. I'm willing to bet that it's fairly reliable. http://www.hudson.co.jp/gamenavi/gamedb ... are_tetris
thanks, i did a google translation http://www.google.com/translate?u=http% ... l=ja&tl=en and i don't see anywhere on the official hudson page where it says it's delayed? on tetris.com in the news section they havnt made an update yet saying its delayed, and they posted while ago that it was going to be released in july... so... i guess my question is, is it still going to be released in july? or where does it say that it's delayed? any sources from hudson? thanks
First of all, stop relying on machine translations. Secondly, it's not technically a delay since they never gave an official launch date - nor is it up to Hudson to do so. Nintendo decides when games are released on WiiWare. However.. it used to say: 2008?7? and now it simply says: 2008????? So clearly there has been a change in plans.
i wasn't relying on them, i was just using it so i could actually read the site... because i don't understand japanese at all... and i know there was a change in plans.... but for all we know, it could be released even sooner? probably unlikely, but just wishful thinking "sometime in 2008" could optimistically mean this month, next month... or this summer hopefully... i was just looking forward to it this july, but oh well, if they need to spend extra time on it to make it better, i'd much rather them do that instead of rushing it... it's about time they made a tetris for the wii
The amount I'm looking forward to it entirely depends on the particular Doubles implementation. I haven't heard specific details though.
It just means you'll have a meat shield on your team for the 30 seconds it'll take you to top out both your opponents if they don't do it themselves first
2 vs 2 would be fun too of course. hopefully they would have a timed doubles mode like in TAP with a leaderboard. at the very least there should be a few difficulty levels to choose from, ranging from "play forever" to "the game will beat Jin8 and KAN if they play long enough" (wishful thinking for a guideline game i know).
Now I have a Wii I can get this, and I can't deny it's going to be enjoyable beating the crap out of you at Tetris again.
