i would die for such a FREE sound under creative commons. that would be a cool addition to lockjaw and other freeware tetris clones. anyone has got a girlfriend with some voice acting talent? anyone has got a microphone?
please, allow me a bit of flaming: i always must sort of roll my eyes and , when i hear all that buzz about High Definition. we - the pc - gamers - had high definition (1280x1024 at least, some richer geeks always sony 21" trinitron at 1600x1200) for 10 YEARS now....
dell ultrasharp or apple cinema ? congratulations if you own such a baby. my plan is to buy an AMOI 42" full HD in a not to distant future. this AMOI seems to be able to accept digital pc input without pixel interpolation and overscan --> 1:1 pixel mapping. and its cheap: "just" 1500 euro... http://cchrisc.cc.funpic.de/Pics/Amoi_LCD_paragon/
oops! tetris evolution interviewee slips up and accidently announces future xbox live arcade version of tetris! comments: i'm glad they're making ranked matches two-player. so i guess player matches will be two-four player. go low and eraser seem gimmicky, but i'll stay open about it for now. they've named a move "Dirty South Style Back to Back," where you score three tetrises in a row or something. three lockdown settings: infinite, extended, or classic. multiplayer uses extended. rob says: "We cant wait to see replays and video of lots of great matches!" hmm...
Whoa, so I guess things are getting less strict. But classic as in Game Boy-style zero lock delay or classic as in Sega style step reset? I guess we'll see eventually.
I guarantee you they mean Game Boy style. Step reset simply will not work witih SRS. Did anyone else notice they swapped the colours of J and I in one of the skins? (Cyan and Blue) What a random choice.
Unless it's tetris, bring I out of hold, tetris again. Or imagine having to do three consecutive tetrises with three consecutive tetrominoes, all of which must be I: two I's from the Random Generator and one I from the hold box.
Because you can rotate into the air, causing the piece to "step down" without truly stepping down. I mean, on a technical level yes you can have this rule. But it leads to much different behaviour in practice.
The same thing happens in TGM3 classic rotation with the T and I floor kicks. But in this system, once a tetromino has been kicked upward once, it can't be kicked upward again until it locks. The "Floor kicks" option in LJ simulates this.
Actually, I was talking about rotating into the air, not floorkicks. Ti's classic floorkicks aren't practically useful for extending locktime, so they keep the spirit of step reset alive.
yeah there is tons of stuff to do.. ill give some input once ive put like i dont know like 1000 hours into it.
