great games you guys hey rosti, would it be possible to make some rule changes for the second round? seeing as how it will be single elimination, would it be more fair to play a best out of 29 or more, and/or player must win by 2? it seems that if a match is close it could go either way.
Seeing as it's not like Tennis, and neither player receives an advantage at some point (no serves, first go, etc.), I don't see any point in making it necessary to win by two clear points. I could make it best out of 39 games (first to 20), or best out of three sets of 19 games (first to 10). If there's particular interest shown in one of those, or an alternate one, then I'll make it so. But yeah, it WILL be more than 19 games for definite. I might relax the deadlines a bit for 1st round. This is partly due to the fact I know that some players have been busy/had personal issues, and also down to that the 2nd round doesn't need all of the first round games to have been played to go ahead. Finally, added: jujube bt caffeine 10-9 Really wasn't expecting that result (no offence jujube, as you weren't either ). Guess that moves Digital and myself towards the favourite spot. I don't think there'll be much chance once nick warms up proper though.
rosti 3 sets of best out of 19 sounds interesting, personally i'm not playing my best all the time so that would help make up for having one of those "slow" days. and if anyone wants to beat caffeine at tetris get on your ds and start practicing like right now oh jeepers, i might get my butt kicked for that one.
Yeah. It's also more accommodating for those who don't have a huge amount of time for just playing Tetris solidly.

You should go through anyway. Blah said he's tried contacting you via AIM, and I've not been able to get hold of Milo often enough to yell at him to play you. If I see people on MSN and their opponents on IRC, I'll do my best to get the games up.
