That's why I enjoy playing against DIGITAL and Blink and others; it's fun to see how many points I can pick off of these ridiculously good legendary players.

I agree. To me, just stealing one win from players such as blink, digital, jujube, jono, caffeine etc.. would be considered a victory for me. And it motivated me to try even harder and go faster.

if I had a license for XP i'd do it. but i'm not going to drop the $$ just to have windows for tetris. although it is tempting...

The only time I played DIGITAL alone on Blockbox I won the first game and then was crushed the next 25 games or so. So I never had the time to take in the victory. I'm still not sure if it ever really happened... Also won once against colour_thief, but that was due to lag so there was nothing to be happy about. In games with multiple players I won against some elite players on a few rare occasions, but that had more to do with luck with garbage or not being targeted by garbage as the big boys didn't really care what I was doing.

OK, tables are up and running. Feel free to make a start on your matches if you wish.
As was pointed out, there's a fair bit of updating to be done. I'll try and update the tables at least every 24 hours, but it's unlikely I'll do so after every single match.

Also feel free to post any queries in this thread and people are still welcome to join.

I was looking around, and there are a lot of places that host game leagues, such as http://www.casesladder.com/ (which has a user created league page at http://www.myleague.com) and others. This might make it easier on Rosti, since I bet he might get tired of manually updating things all the time. Or, there are probably ways of installing a league system locally, on tetrisconcept.com. I googled for "ladder league" and found a bunch of stuff. Also, I'm not sure how practical how it will be to have everyone play everyone else, considering time zones and such. That's kind of the nice thing about leagues compared to tournaments, is that there is less scheduling involved.

Edit: Here's another interesting one (http://games-ladder.net/home.php) that has both free hosting and source availability. It is applicable to any game.

Ezzelin, for the number of players we actually have I'm fine to be updating the league. It's really not much effort aside from screencapping the images and uploading them. I'm quite happy to do it once or twice a day because I'm not that busy.

If the number of players starts getting pretty high, then I'd consider a ladder system, but currently I think a league works perfectly fine.

Just repeat that anyone can still join. I'll only say it's too late for new players when we're a good 70-80% of the way through the league.

What!? Don't put me in the same group with blink! I am not worthy....not until I can take at least 1/5 wins from him. I tend to be a bit inconsistent in non 1v1 games unlike blink who is just godly. Those rare wins we get out of him are flukes and don't count!

And Ai, yeah, I'm sure you beat me that first round. That plagues me most of the time for some reason.

I'm going to witdraw from this tourney. WHY???:
I came to the conclusion that I am not able to play any pc multiplayer game normally;
The pc I'm using now is just a Pentium II...so not fast enough to play it properly...
