no no...that was my time that I got the S8! I'm not sure what the time of death was....aren't we supposed to report the master time?
Yep. Kevin is just confused (as it is easy to be with scores nearing completion) since Mastering Time updates when you get the Green Line at 999.
How can you tell? Is it because I'm getting closer to 600? Can you explain the mastering time a bit more? I don't understand why it's better...Shouldn't the overall time be the decisive factor? Correct. I was trying out different initials. Ai, did u think I took someone else's scores?
Most players with stable stacking get S1 between level 550 and 600. In the worst case around level 650, unless you're really terrible or aiming for a low grade on purpose. The overall time is only useful when the game is cleared, that's why when you reach the end of the game the mastering time become the overall time. In the main modes of the TGM games it's all about the grades and when you get them. For example player A gets grade S1 at level 600 after 7 minutes of play and tops out at level 601 with an overall time of 07:01. Then you have player B who also earns S1 at level 600 after 6 minutes and 30 seconds and tops out at level 700 with a time of 07:20. It's clear B is the better player since he obtained the S1 rank after 06:30, yet when we look at the overall time it would seem A was the faster player. Of course if you look at the level attained it would be obvious why since player B survived far longer. Someone else can certainly give you a better explanation if it's still not clear. Anyway you should focus on surviving as long as possible right now. No, not at all. I was just wondering why you were using different initials, that's really all. And it looks like you may have gotten an even better mastering time before as both screenshots you posted are only second place on your Grandmaster ranking.
m, 999 @ 8:34:40. Pretty insignificant improvement. I can definitely do better than that (by about 5-10 seconds). Edit: 8:34:35 at the Norcal Meet.
