I have no word for this. I can't congratz him, congratulate him like "oh yes kevin you are really something, you are really a god, you did in so few time what everybody else only dream to do.. Admiting the suprematie of kevin with congratuling words would be just a no self respect for the time and the energy I invested for this game. I am a very very bad loser who can't stay happy in admiting a so violent defeat and frustration. I almost think that I have dreamt our meeting in London, 11 months ago, where you had a poor skill with only one or two serious score above me. So it is true that you are famous, your skill increase is unstopable, you should also be able to kill the last people who can be considered today as the last stronger one. I mean jago, c_t and DIGITAL. Every curves of progression are logarythmic, so I have no doubt you still have a lot of reserve to improve fast and powerfully in the next months.

Try this: mametgm64 tgm2p -playback deathgm.inp Can you get it working for your own .inp files? I'm not sure whether .inp files created with mametgm can be watched with mametgm64 and vice versa.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH I am absolutely positive I managed all the tetris requirements (was very careful to do so), but S7?! I was tetrising all the way through the end of the game
When you get S2, you need to do some combos to get S4 very quickly, then stack high until 700~750 is coming and then going back to tetrises/triples only. Check this video to see what I'm talking about: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ru_5AFBVlh4 S2 at 648, S3 at 664 and S4 at 684
I agree that the S1 --> S5 sequence is really weird, sometime you manage S2-S3-S4 so easily with a few lines and other time you struggle to get these grades with a lot of tripple /tetris. oh !!

If I'm not mistaken, that's the very first official Arika video demonstrating the GM grade; it was recorded not long after the game's release, and so by today's standards isn't really considered much of a superplay. The main game is played by 777, and the staff roll is played by jin8. Back on topic: TWF, there should be no need to combo in order to boost your grade. If you're not getting gold SK, then there's definitely room for improvement. Just tetris more...
Yeah, it looks like I can probably afford to slow down a bit to make more tetrises, but I've usually not had a problem with S9 without gold SK. I was just really surprised that I didn't end up with S8 because I got S7 at like 920 and had a tetris after that. Oh well, I'll go better next time
