Thanks! It wasn't easy that's for sure. It's Kitaru that got M 2 times before getting Gm. Are you maybe confusing your dreams or rather nightmares with reality again? No worries though, it will probably happen soon. Maybe I should stop updating your threads? EDIT: Ai TAP Master Green Line S9 10:07:40 Level 0-500 Ai TAP Master Green Line S9 10:07:40 Level 500-999
Code: 50--Budster----------------S2 - 805 @ 08:56:48 - 01/04/10 - Machine Finally! My current STs (Machine): Note: Thanks, and I sure hope so. (wanted to reply without bumping thread) Edit: Fastest keyboard S2:
This run pisses me off so much. Note the orange line and massive time improvement. What you don't see is the fact that I entered section 900 with that S7 and a decently clean stack This could have easily been an S9 game. Can someone add "Best OL S7 in 9:37:56" to my score comment? Thanks~
Budster: I think if you push yourself a little you can really cut down those first few section times. Try to remember to use finessed movements, and avoid making placements that require triple taps and even double taps if possible. Additionally, really focus on avoiding singles and doubles. They're gonna slow you down a lot in those sections. The fact that you can make it to the 800s leads me to believe that you are definitely capable of making those good decisions in sub-20G as well.
I think one of the things that is slowing me down so much is my tendency to DAS a piece one direction and then move it back the other way. I appreciate you pointing my early STs out. I've been working so hard on getting better at 20G that I really hadn't put much thought into my sub-20G play.
Broke 9 minutes. S9, 999 @ 8:52:91 S9 before level 900, actually. Gold SK around level 680-odd. That felt good.
My new "record": I missed one tetris in the 500-600 section. That's it. Video is up on facebook under my former TC account name, Kevin Birrell.
When I think back to the time when you were still a young apprentice on AH ², it is now in a handkerchief while the two with our M. Also, I touch myself at night.
{no record} My timeline looks something like this. About 3 months ago I make my first M. Within a week texmaster affords me the equivalent M. Today: Epic credit roll failure. But it solidifies me as being actually able to make Ms.
Hello there. Do you accept NullpoMino games for records? I have access to TAP via MAME but I'm not entitled to use it and also the input delay kills me. I just passed level 500 on Grade Mania 2 with Classic2 rules and no options set apart from Level Stop SE, which I believe is accurate to TAP rules unless I'm mistaken. Would you accept a submission for that and what would I need to provide as proof? (Not that there's much incentive to fake a 521 score, but at least it seems to just about fit on your ladder and I'm interested to track my progress as I keep pushing.)
Nope. The only time it ever will, is when Nullpomino can generate .inp files that can be verified in MAME, which is considered sufficient proof. Few of us are. You are mistaken. TAP has the bell sound effect, but it is used for items, not for the level stop.
Thanks for putting me straight. Shame that NullpoMino can't be used, I'll have to track my own progress then. Presumably you don't all have your own arcade machines... are many of those records posted via MAME? Perhaps keyboard is more tolerable than with a stick... for me not only do I get horrible control delay but the controls are sticky too, where individual taps stick together and sometimes become multiple and misdrops are common. I couldn't imagine setting records like that when you have to double check half of the moves that you make. I'd be interested in any MAME tips for getting the best responsiveness from arcade stick controls on Windows 7 x64. And for the bell sound, I thought that "Level Stop SE" meant that when set, you'd enforce the need for a line to cross 100 levels... it seems what you're saying is that the rule in always enforced and the option just prompts you with the sound effect. I did have that wrong, thanks again.
That should definitely still read "at least" not "at most". I can get a crapload of lag on VMameTGM if I want to, but I can't get it under one frame.
m, 999 @ 8:44:76. I got a few singles and a double in the invisible roll. Very pleased with the outcome, but I'm far too inconsistent for this to be happening again soon. Average game is about 9:05 S7-S8.
WOW!! Aweseome rednefed. I was expecting you to get M this year, but not so soon. Is this your first time getting a time under 08:45? That's really close. You didn't have to struggle to clear the M-roll requirements like most other players. Very impressive. Congrats! Top 10 spot on the leaderboard. Soon the entire top 10 will be G(M) players.
