Keep playing! I also struggled for weeks even though I was very close to m on many occasions. It's bound to happen one of the next times you reach level 500 if you keep pushing yourself. Not everyone can clear the torikan at the first try like Deeem2031.
No sweat. The best thing about this is that I know the torikan is no longer an issue for me, and I know that I can do 500-999 since I've done it in TexMaster before. So it really is within reach...

I'm pretty sure all that matters is 3:25 at 500 for M. Unless you mean what are good times to shoot for for the early sections in order to break the torikan.
I would even push the first section a little faster if possible. It shouldn't be out of your reach if you can get to level 500 at all.
