video Finally! I knew for a while that I could do this. Actually I'm very happy with this game--even though I made some bad placements and had some misdrops, my recovery was amazing! I entered 300 very confident from my 0-300 performance. Unfortunately an S piece misdrop (and stupidly making column 1 inaccessible) prevented me from reaching 400 with a clean stack, but, good enough! I have been alternating between playing games with manual lock and without, to better my stacking ability (and to get used to non-manual lock finesse!). I'm no longer daunted by 300+ speeds; heck on NDS_TGM I've been able to play at death 500 speeds before on a good day. The speed increase at 300 is not that much of an issue anymore, but I'm thinking the speed increase at 400 will pester me for awhile now...
I don't think NDS_TGM speeds are very accurate and its TAP behavior simulation is off. Regardless it's still decent training for the real thing.
Nice merpy! You should be able to get all the way to 300 once you can play the 100-200 section comfortably. I can't feel an appreciably speedup from 100-200 to 200-300, personally. 300+, though, is a whole new can of worms.
new best, 656 in 04:17:23, just give me some more time and ill climb even higher!! my focus is now on TAP instead of texmaster, (i got 767 in Sudden but the sav was full i guess so replay didnt save and i didnt get a picture of exact time lol, also didnt want to do a triple posting in an essentially dead thread)
I'm trying to focus on stacking now, doing five games without locking at all and doing only tetrises (well, trying lol) and then one game trying to do as much tetrises and triples while locking.
Congrats to all of you! And thanks for the video DDRKirby(ISQ). Almost there cyberguile! I can clear the 300 to 400 and 400 to 500 sections starting from level 300 and 400 respectivily, but it's still too hard to survive long after level 250 while manual locking. And from level 300 and higher I can't manual lock at all.
Oooh, bring it, both of you! I think I'll be qualified 1 soon in Ti. I've had a bunch of S2s and failed the test a couple of times.
