I know that you like too much the compliments.. But you really deserve it, this last performance is really impressive. You have a strong level of technic today..Way better than Digital's.. (Sorry, but when I have an occasion to place it.. )
Don't count me out of the race to the next Death M yet! Getting back into TAP, want to polish this off, so hopefully expect good news soon... Code: EIHoppe ----------- 478 @ 3:11:23 ~EI EDIT: Forgot about DeHackEd. Damn, I guess I'm not the *next* next one, as in the race with me, Kitaru, and DeHackEd, heh. Well then...don't count me out, Kitaru, I'm gunning for that next M!
WHOU HOU HOUUU !!!!!!!! NEW DEATH MASTER CONGRATZ !!! How do you feel ? And before everything else, WHAT did you feel at the exact moment where the "m" came on the screen..
To be honest, my reaction was much more subtle than my post reporting the score suggests, hehe. After 400, I wasn't really paying attention to anything but keeping the stack as well under control as I could; I didn't see my time at 400, and I certainly didn't notice I was approaching 500. When I actually passed 500, it took a moment to register that I was seeing the M and background change instead of a credit roll. When I did make the realization, I got a feeling of relief, accomplishment, and happiness; it wasn't that overjoyed feeling that I got with TGM1 GM or TexMaster Sudden M, but a satisfying feeling nonetheless. I suppose part of it was due to the fact that I had come so close so many times before that I already had come to the conclusion that I was capable of actually doing it; earning the M felt more like validation than a huge leap. At around 500~510, I let out an audible "Alright, I did it!" and called my friend over from the other side of the desk to see the end of my Death M game. "Okay, let's see how far I can go now." Not too far, but that didn't phase me, haha. "Okay, now I can take a break from Tetris for a bit, haha." I have a Cave Story 3HP run that needs plenty of love and attention, haha. Once I'm done with that I'll shift focus to Master, but I'd also like to play some Death while recording to see if I can get a video of an M. EDIT: I might need to change my mind and go for a Doubles completion.
Congrats Kitaru! Played a little this morning. This is currently my best. Not really good, but at least I gain a few places on the leaderboard. I also encountered something weird while playing. Normally you can't input your nickname for Death, but for some reason after using some button combination (I don't remember what I did as I was just pushing buttons while waiting to start a new game) I could enter my name and the following screen with some strange code appeared: Anyone any idea what this is for?
Yeah, that's an Internet Ranking code. I'm pretty sure the internet ranking is long closed, if it ever did work.
