No, it's under that little box you can undo with a small phillips screwdriver. But it only appears if you cut yourself. "WHEN BLOOD IS SHED... THE USB JACK OF ONE EMERGE."
Hey, look, more Short Bus stuff: http://forums.nintendo.com/nintendo/boa ... ing&page=1 Kids that I don't have the ability to thwack on the back of the head annoy me.
You shouldn't mock the Nintendo forums - they're one of the best sources of humour on the net. But it is irritating to see so many posts which have titles which are 1)Exactly the same as the one just underneath ('is this game good' and 'whats a t-spin' etc) 2)Have no implication of what the thread contains (such as 'why!) The amount of illiterate idiots in the forums is unbelievable. Okay, people make typos, but some people seem to just be talking crap. I can't wait until we are able to punch people over the internet. I'm tempted to create a 'is this game good thread' and see how many times I can post the single word 'yes' until it gets spotted. Why do people have to be told an answer, rather than research it themselves, or just read another thread created by someone with the same problem and same lack of intelligence. One of the Admins should create sticky threads titled 't-spins explained' etc. (for those too lazy to read through the FAQ or too inexperienced/stupid to know what FAQ means) though I doubt it would solve the problem too much [and breathe]
Guessing very few people read the terms of service for the forums Excerpt:. You may not attempt to "flood" or disrupt the public areas on the NSider Forums. Disruption is defined as posting to a forum a large number of messages which contain no substantive content and where normal discussion in the forum is significantly hindered. Examples of disruptive activities include, but are not limited to, posting multiple messages with no text in the body, or posting many follow-ups to messages with no new text... ...Do provide enticing, stimulating conversation that is of value to your surrounding community and fellow gamers!
This is what I'm talking about: http://forums.nintendo.com/nintendo/board/message?board.id=tetris&message.id=19893 And now I just wait for the comments (both serious and mocking) to roll in (Feel free to express yourselves and to experiment with what ranges of expletives and profanities Nintendo allows.) On a seperate note, while the t-spin guides on the FAQ are good, i'd rather direct the kind of idiots on the forums away from TC. This forum should be kept as a haven for those Tetris purists who know the sacred laws of SRS and T-spins, know maxing out endless mode on TDS is not impossible, and know that the USB dongle goes in the PC not the DS
I'll use the same calm demeanor that I try to use on forum.gbadev.org. When I came to tetrisconcept.com, I knew what a TNT64 T-spin was but not an SRS T-spin, and I didn't know what "SRS" stood for (until I read the wiki) or what exactly the wall kick patterns were (until colour_thief sent me an excerpt from the Heboris docs). Elitism == bad. In case of newbie invasion, splitting the TC forum into "Beginner", "Advanced", and "Offtopic" would work, no?
{sigh} You're right. I only had a vague idea what a t-spin was and hadn't even heard of SRS when I found TC and the wiki. The point is though, I found stuff out by researching myself, not by asking people irritating questions hidden in threads with ambiguous subject titles. Wouldn't splitting TC forums into begginer and advanced still kind of be elitism, by only allowing people who could beat the lvl. 5 CPU (or whatever) talk to each other? So many people have replied seriously to the thread it's stupid. Its only been on for a hour. It kind of proves my point that this kind of stuff is so freqeunt people don't even realise I'm taking the mickey.
Was that directed at me or at the Nintendo forum kiddies? I'd set the bar at standard vs. CPU level 4, which is about where I was where I joined, or perhaps even level 3. I'd also make it so anyone can post, but newbies are encouraged to post in the newbie forum. That's how gbadev and nesdev are set up, and it seems to work.
The stuff about research was directed at the kiddies. I suppose the split forums would work, but so far nobody has posted anything which is as bad as the stuff on the forums so its not a problem. Anyone posting questions like 'what is a t-spin' on this forum must be pretty unobservant because the article in the wiki is superb and stems off the same website as the forum. Either they won't have noticed it on the wiki or they've read it and not understood it, in which case no amount of explaining would help.
On Pocket Heaven and gbadev.org, several forums have a sticky topic containing answers to frequent basic questions and/or links to appropriate web sites and wiki pages. When people ask questions answered in a FAQ list, I sometimes answer in the form of "What did you not understand from FAQ section x.y?" Then after getting the question settled, I go back and fix the FAQ (if I'm a moderator or the FAQ's maintainer) or edit the wiki page to clarify what was misunderstood.
(Good points tepples.) Looking back at my thread it seems people were more annoyed by my appalling English than what I used it to say. They were lucky I didn't use l337speak as well or it would have been even more hard [sic] to understand.
ha! did you see the sucker that just translated it?!!! ahahahaha. although he presented it quite well with the strikethrough and such.
Yeah! I'd laugh if they tried my name of blockstats and found an illiterate kid on 7000+ points. I still can't believe nobody's noticed or commented that it's a hoax. Edit: Cosmonaut just seen your post (lol). You should have pissed them off even more by saying you would sell your DS and get a PSP and GTA: Liberty City instead. plus the translation is wrong when I said OMG I meant 'oh my god' not 'oh my gosh'
Yes, however, even though I've got the whole Liberal Quaker thing going on, I've noticed there's a ton of Conservative Christians on the Nintendo forums. Tons. And they all annoy me.
Guess few people read the names of the posters, or someone would have realised by now that the thread is a hoax. Especially DREWC, who has replied several times to the thread and is actually (I've just realised) a member of Blockstats.org. Even if he only visits the site occastionally, I update my blog often enough to keep 'Rosti LFC's blog' in the most recently updated section, and its not too hard to spot.
LOL. It's really annoying me now how people post threads asking if Tetris is good. I mean, it is a TETRIS forum, what are people going to say? I can understand people asking how it compares to previous Tetris games, (though they could get some stupid answers off the guy who posted the thread in Phydeaux's link above) but 'is it good?', err... yes. That's why we're all discussing it on a forum. Moron.
