First time in my life, I've succeeded to pass level 500 under 5min25, at exactely 5min21..I've passed all first section under 1min05... And I've finished my TAP graduation, generated by a little algorytm, Maybe some of you won't understand the lack of corresponding, but it's only an average estimation.. Master - T.A. DEATH Gm - Gm m - m S9 - 500 S8 - 450 S7 - 410 S6 - 380 S5 - 350 S4 - 320 S3 - 300 S2 - 280 S1 - 250 1 - 210 ..Hmm..I'm the most useless man of this communauty..
I didn't understand what you meant in your post but noticed you have reached 488 in T.A Death. Sooner or later, a new master will appear
Ho ho.. Don't excite yourself.. The only thing I know : There has been 1 year between the moment where Jago has reached 500 and the moment where he has reached the M grad...
really ? hmmm, i don't remember when i firstly reach lvl500. i've gotthe jamma board since start of summer (if i remember well) and playing MAME & the JAMMA is 2 separate things.
MAME generally has more lag than JAMMA due to the non-specialized Windows operating system, and there are still emulation bugs (like the siren in TGM1).
In this context, though, lag is the only difference. Psykio hardware is well understood and implemented. In-game, every little detail is exactly like my machine, right down to notes occasionally hanging.
There is two other MAJOR differences. The controller: you might have a perfect arcade stick customized with sanwa parts, you will ALWAYS be far faaaaar away from the pleasure you can have on an astro city. The screen: don't need to talk about the difference size between a computer screen and an arcade cabinet screen
O RLY? A DDR machine has a 27" standard resolution monitor; compare to the 27" standard definition TV connected to my StepMania PC.
Astro City cabinets have a 29" monitor. Sorry, they have a "FLAT SQUARE 29". Man I love the writing on those things... Decorating it with neon text. "High-resolution graphics and stereo-of-the-art sounds doubles your playing pleasure!" "AERO DYNAMIC SHAPE" "POWER CONTROL SYSTEM" "This cabinet allows impressive and exciting games to be reproduced." [sic] Pure awesome. Seriously though, if you've got decent consumer parts (monitor/controls) the only significant differences between emulation and the "real thing" are: -slight lag -the pressure of an audience -the pressure to perform well to get your 100 Yen's worth Those last 2 really help you improve faster. Even with my cabinet I can never get that last one, and I don't often have the benefit of an audience (plus strangers make a better audience). Unless you like collecting cool games for the sake of collecting cool games, you're almost better off funneling that money into an arcade machine on location. ...Of course, then you might not get nicely maintained controls. Can't have it all I guess...
Congratulation for your new record at S4 cyberguile! And good luck for the next : S5 falls fastly after S4...
Thank you I didn't want to post it here as it's still crap, but I'm improving and after six months of tgm: After doing this game I thought "hey ! maybe I can reach GM in tgm !" First try, lost at 321 I didn't remember tgm was soooooo crap
We use to say and read, a Gm player on TGM1 is able to reach S6-S7 on TGM2 MASTER mode.. Maybe it's a good idea you pass few weeks on TGM1 to reach Gm one or two times, you will improve your 20G and feel stronger on tgm2 after..
hmm, after some lot of tweaking, i feel that lag still persist with my Arcade stick with PC games. I've finally choose what i hope will definitively set this problem
I know you used to get significant lag until you switched to a different adaptor for your arcade stick. I'm not so sure that this new device will fix the problem any further. At this point, I suspect the small amount of remaining lag is coming from software not hardware. Does anyone know how fast common operating systems poll various inputs? And how fast in turn programs poll input from the operating system? (Do things even work that way?) Unfortunately I can't speak with authority on the issue, but I know that dedicated gaming machines have the luxury of being able to constantly poll input.
Oh !! I forgot to mention, Actually my Arcade stick is connected to my PC by the LTP1 plug and it is the best i can get. But this PC is damn too hold, even if it is the minimum Prohibition config requierement. It is for the training tool that i'me encountering problem, and i want to consistantly switch play on my laptop witch is far powerful but unfortunately there is no LTP1 available. I'm obliged to go throught USB, and as you know PSX adaptator are not very reliable. Let's just hope that this solution will plenty give satisfaction.
The problem with most psx usb adaptor is that they are ment to make early psx controllers work. If you plug in a ps2 designed controller, or even a psone or a dual-shock era psx controller, it won't work perfectly. I think the best thing you should do is buy a sega usb virtua stick. Those seem to work great !
