Playing at home, practicing, going for a personal best - those are all very different to competing head-to-head, where survival is key. As a newbie I sometimes think it would be good for my game to develop a bit of a 'tourney mindset'. Too many times I build higher than I should because I know it doesn't matter, just start again. And I see that I haven't really developed my skimming and burning strategy enough. So I was thinking...how about some amateur level competition? A tournament for people who can't really play on Level 19. For those who would be well pleased with 300k in a competitive match. It might also be fun to watch: some of the more entertaining games are where the players are misdropping, digging, snatching defeat from the jaws of victory, etc. I've no idea how that would work. But I thought I'd float it out there. Cheers.
