Thanks Terry! Regrettably, the camera wasn't recording when the 940k game happened. Will be videoing all sessions from here on out.
Great score Jake! I finally had another one in the 700s (701.732 pts at 184 lines), slightly lower than my high, but this time on record!
Thank you Simba! Nice S spin at the 6:58 mark! Really solid piece placement in general. If I may offer any tips, I'd suggest maintaining a negative slope from L to R so you can burn your way out of trouble. Your stack was somewhat flat at the 7:15 mark and when the L block landed, you got into a jam. Keep training on LV 19 (A type and B type) and you'll be in the 800's and beyond soon enough.
Although it's not my personal best, this is the highest score I have on video yet http://youtu.be/MxppDj0NxH4. Kitaru - if you could update the leaderboard with this link I would be thankful. Cheers!!!
A compilation film showing what most of my tetris endeavors turn out like: http://digg.com/video/superdog-flying-fail I just had to share
Nice score. Simba..... Looks like you'll take 800k down soon.... Maybe Max is within reach this year????
I got a very slight boost to my personal best this morning. My new record is: 647,325 on Level 22 Even the slightest improvement is still improvement.
Nice score and nice end! I didn't understood you were tetris-ready until I saw the final flash, good job Today I got my new best in lines, 235 (level 18 start), with a huge jump from my last high score as well, of 29 points lol, so I'm 780.000 now. Link. Does this work for me too? You have some good transitions, you should consider recording some Good job to you too.
some new video footage... both posted here LV 19 start 633k / LV 28 / 228 lines - video cuts off at 620k mark LV 18 start 898k / LV 27 / 214 lines - painful i know!!! Had the runway to max and didn't.
So, what does "rusty" mean in a more literal interpretation. I haven't played much at all in the last 9 months save for some karoke nights and one tournament that I did not train for. So I played 2 sessions and will likely play more now that its warmer out. So what specific issues am I encountering?: 1) I lose DAS charge to often. My ability to properly time things is good, but it sure aint great. DAS charge lose has increased a bit, not hugely, but like 10% more often. 2) I don't have as much tenacity, it feels like I weaken more quickly and get tired faster. Not much, but a little. 3) I do thing backwards: Often there are situation on the stack where you need to place a T in such a way that it makes a place for a S or a Z. I keep doing this backwards! I never used to, but I do now. 4) I don't react quickly enough: Similar to above but moment like where you can use a T to create a position for a J or an L such that it will have a home. I sometimes now just do the wrong one thoughtlessly 5) I have a harder time making the tough, but correct calls when it comes to making sure I don't make situations where I need, and I mean NEED a certain piece. Some things have stayed strong too. I have performed saves over the last 2 days of playing that made me feel like freaking Houdini, and have played fairly well actually all told. My best in 2 2 hour session were a 860kish and a 870ksih with one nice transition of 660ishk (maybe my record) and no, it was neither of the 2 high games. Come on guys, you know I can still blow big trannies with the best of them! haha
