Screenshots can be faked, so let's wait for me to add movie support to LJ and then require movies. But even movies can be tool-assisted by decreasing the game's frame rate in the following line in ljpc.c: Code: install_int_ex(incCurTime, BPM_TO_TIMER(3600)); So for now, in the absence of Treacherous Computing, it's best to rely on an honor system, each player's gradual improvement over the course of the competition, and corroboration from TDS Wi-Fi ratings if available. And yes, there are dicks. I would show evidence, but let's keep this forum safe for work, OK? One more from me before I retire for the night: Cleared 180 seconds on 2006-10-17 at 22:28 (rot=SRS, lock=Step reset, rnd=7-piece Bag, spin=Off, speed=Exponential) (grav=Naive, are=Instant, das=133 ms 60 Hz, shadow=Faint color, next=6 pieces) Played for 3:00.00 Played 264 tetrominoes (88.00 per minute) Pressed 987 keys (3.73 per tetromino) Made 103 lines (single: 3; double: 0; triple: 0; home run: 25, T single: 0; T double: 0; T triple: 0) Sent 122 garbage (40.66 per minute) Score: 34700
well i agree with everything you said exept for your wifi rating. I am way better on a keyboard then i am on my gameboy and i haven't been on wifi for atleast a month and have no plan to do so in the near future. I'm sure i'm not the only one this applies to so i think it would be fair that we ignore the wifi score mostly.
I dont have much time to post here these days, although I still browse the forum. But when I saw a challenge involving LJ I had to get in on it. My results: Cleared 180 seconds on 2006-10-18 at 16:20 (rot=SRS, lock=Step reset, rnd=7-piece Bag, spin=3-corner T, speed=Zero) (grav=Native, are=Instant, das=166 ms 60 Hz, shadow=Colour, next=8 pieces) Played for 3:00.00 Played 342 tetrominoes (114.00 per minute) Pressed 1158 Keys (3.38 per tetrimino) Made 135 lines (single: 0; double: 0; triple: 1; home run 36, T single: 0; T double: 0; T triple:0) Sent 166 garbage (55.33 per minute) Score: 46700 Press Rotate - Jono P.S Finally got a DS the other day and a copy of tetris DS plus a wifi connector. So keep an eye out for me *M.Bison*
Hi, i've tested your game, but the joystick support, don't work very well, there is some kind of lag... (when input are not lost) but work good with keyboard.
if the joystick doesn't work for ya you could to get joytokey and map the joystick to the default keys and see how that works for ya, since you really only need 4 directions anyways.
In recent LJ, you can't "bank" more than five beats of time in Rhythm. If you play so fast that you are more than five beats ahead, the game gives you 20 points for the drop. You retyped that, didn't you? As far as I can tell, most of us just copied it from lj-scores.txt.
welcome aboard jono. sorry, but i have to throw that score out. set t-spin detection to off. eh, i didn't know rhythm scored for that. hmm...
oh okay. btw, i remembered why i thought tspins didn't do anything in worlds. seems back in the xbox live days, i had investigated them at first. the problem-- they broke b2b, and they were still worth less than b2b tetrises anyway. class starts in 9 minutes. i'll see if i can test dlx before that. edit: i'll have the full dlx scoring formula by 4pm today.
They broke B2B back in the original Worlds era? Perhaps the iPod version devs took that as a reference...
(rot=SRS, lock=Move reset, rnd=7-piece Bag, spin=3-corner T, speedeath) (grav=Naive, are=Instant, das=200 ms 60 Hz, shadow=Faint color, next=3 pieces) das == Sideways delay (in option menu) ? So changing this value have no effect : Always 200ms any tweaking to change or did i missed something ?
Yes. If it doesn't change for you, then there is a bug. Can you reproduce it? Does it persist after closing and reopening lj.exe? Does it persist after you delete lj.ini? An incremental improvement on my last score: Cleared 180 seconds on 2006-10-18 at 14:05 (rot=SRS, lock=Step reset, rnd=7-piece Bag, spin=Off, speed=Exponential) (grav=Naive, are=Instant, das=133 ms 60 Hz, shadow=Faint color, next=6 pieces) Played for 3:00.00 Played 269 tetrominoes (89.66 per minute) Pressed 942 keys (3.50 per tetromino) Made 102 lines (single: 0; double: 1; triple: 0; home run: 25, T single: 0; T double: 0; T triple: 0) Sent 125 garbage (41.66 per minute) Score: 35200
you can't tweak that option in death mode. i seem to know more about lj than the creator lol. anyway, here's what i have so far: in tetris deluxe (mobile), no t-spin has any effect whatsoever. so far i've described the line values which bumps up the level on the wiki. worlds operates the same, except for t-spin rewards, apparently. i still want to double check worlds to make sure they give rewards for t-spins. the game gives drop points like this: 1 for each row soft dropped, 2 for each row hard dropped. most you can get from dropping is 19 for soft dropping, 38 (19*2) for hard dropping (playfield is 21 high, I spawns on row 20, the rest on row 21-- i suspect they did this so you can still see every piece at start, since only 20 is visible). if the piece is touching the bottom, it'll subtract 1 for each time you move, rotate, or hold. on level 1, {single, double, triple, tetris, b2b tetris} = {100, 300, 500, 800, 1200}, which resemble their line worth. by level 15, it looks like: {200, 600, 1000, 1600, 2400}. looks logical so far. here's where i ran into problems. Code: level / points given for a single 01 100 02 107 03 114 04 121 05 128 06 135 07 142 08 150 09 157 10 164 11 171 12 178 13 185 14 192 15 200 couldn't simplify it accurately. anyone want to give it a shot? what's more is that it continues past level 15, and rewards more points, too. i'll add what i have to the wiki later when i straighten out the formula, if no one has already.
I have just improved my score by a whopping... Cleared 180 seconds on 2006-10-18 at 16:33 (rot=SRS, lock=Step reset, rnd=History 6 Rolls, spin=3-corner T, speed=Exponential) (grav=Naive, are=Instant, das=150 ms 60 Hz, shadow=Faint color, next=3 pieces) Played for 3:00.00 Played 349 tetrominoes (116.33 per minute) Pressed 1272 keys (3.64 per tetromino) Made 131 lines (single: 5; double: 4; triple: 2; home run: 28, T single: 0; T double: 0; T triple: 0) Sent 143 garbage (47.66 per minute) Score: 41700
can't except it. spin=off. throwing jono's out, too. it can make a difference despite not making lines with t-spins, right? linking b2b tetrises for one.
ahh crap. forgot to turn it off on this machine... edit All right, here we go... Cleared 180 seconds on 2006-10-18 at 17:04 (rot=SRS, lock=Step reset, rnd=History 6 Rolls, spin=Off, speed=Zero) (grav=Naive, are=Instant, das=150 ms 60 Hz, shadow=Faint color, next=3 pieces) Played for 3:00.01 Played 345 tetrominoes (114.98 per minute) Pressed 1236 keys (3.58 per tetromino) Made 133 lines (single: 7; double: 3; triple: 0; home run: 30, T single: 0; T double: 0; T triple: 0) Sent 148 garbage (49.32 per minute) Score: 42900 Wait, how did the timer add more time? I swear I don't know how that happened...
To be fair, I didn't notice the "Death" in jagorochi's post. But yes, Needle, I should clarify in the manual that Master and Death override sideways delay. There are two TDXs: one for Game Boy Color and one for mobile phones. I believe the one for Game Boy Color follows the NES scoring formula. As for the formula you just listed, it's (level + 13) * 50 / 7. No, it cannot. In LJ, as in TDS, making a T-spin that does not clear a line has no effect on scoring. Specifically, the back-to-back state is not changed for T-spins that do not clear a line. If no T-spin lines are made, the only way you can get the back-to-back bonus is by making an actual back-to-back 4-line clear.
ohhh, yeah. you're right. and there's only one tdx. since when is there a tdx for mobile? you're thinking of tdlx. (i'm purposely being cocky despite the obvious ambiguity.) also, how does that work for other clears? like doubles and tetrises? do you need more data? adding jono's score again.
