Re: [Lockjaw] 40 Lines & 180 Seconds this probably doesn't count but I got 1:03 in 40 line on my DS. Since school started I haven't had time to play so I usually just squeeze in games on my DS in between classes. Last week was my first time in awhile I was able to sit down to play some tetris but the pcb in my stick broken so I've been busying trying to wire up a new psx pcb. Again I'm not looking for any official recognition or whatever I'm just happy that I shaved off 5 seconds from my old time so I thought I'd share with my fellow tetris players
Re: [Lockjaw] 40 Lines & 180 Seconds Unfortunately, I don't have enough details to add the record onto the board. If you could supply me with the missing information, I'll promptly update. It would be a shame to not be able to add a fellow player's records, especially personal records.
Re: [Lockjaw] 40 Lines & 180 Seconds I play with the default DS settings. SRS and exponential speed. the version is 0.37, but it's alright if it's not added. I almost have my stick fixed and I hope to get under a minute on my pc soon
Re: [Lockjaw] 40 Lines & 180 Seconds Do you know how to use DLDI? Perhaps I could put lj-scores.txt support in the next DS version.
Re: [Lockjaw] 40 Lines & 180 Seconds no I don't. Honestly record keeping isn't that big of a deal. If I wasn't so busy with class and my arcade stick wasn't broken my personal speed record wouldn't have been made on a DS. However if you are looking to add stuff I'd appreciate rotation sound effects as well as the 5 line warning. If not that's ok too, I'll take lockjaw anyway I can get it!
Re: [Lockjaw] 40 Lines & 180 Seconds new record! i'm getting closer to 1:00 Code: Cleared 40 lines on 2007-11-08 at 23:22 (rot=SRS, lock=Move reset, rnd=7-piece Bag, spin=3-corner T, speed=Zero) (grav=Naive, drop=None, are=0 ms, das=166 ms 1G (60 Hz), shadow=Faint color, next=1 pieces) (10x20, bottom=Off) Played for 1:18.45 (active 1:13.43) Played 104 tetrominoes (79.54 per minute, 84.97 per active minute) Pressed 401 keys (3.85 per tetromino) Made 41 lines (single: 16; double: 6; triple: 3; home run: 1; T single: 0; T double: 0; T triple: 0) Sent 16 garbage (12.23 per minute) Left 6 blocks behind LJ score: 7300
Re: [Lockjaw] 40 Lines & 180 Seconds keep up the good work shoryu. i find it helps to play at least a little bit every day.
Re: [Lockjaw] 40 Lines & 180 Seconds Hi I started play tetris like a week ago. I started with TGM2 but now I play on LockJaw I think it's better for training There is my time i'm sure I can do better To comment my (poor) game I made a video of this time to see my errors (too much in my opignon '). There is the link
Re: [Lockjaw] 40 Lines & 180 Seconds great game for just one week's worth of play, and cool skin you've made. i always find it really interesting to watch brand new players play. it's usually very fresh and different from what i've habitualized. anyway, if i had to suggest one thing, from the looks of how you backtrack and change your mind a lot (something common of newer players), it would be a good exercise to play a game where you have to stop at each piece, think about where exactly you want it, work out what's the most efficient method of getting it to that place, and then executing that method perfectly. keep up the good work, and keep the vids coming. edit: oh yeah, for how you started the game, this may be useful: http://www.tetrisconcept.com/wiki/index ... d_Z_starts
Re: [Lockjaw] 40 Lines & 180 Seconds Baboo! EDIT: I just noticed that there isn't a Baboo! topic yet. I'll make one.
Re: [Lockjaw] 40 Lines & 180 Seconds Indeed. ...btw caffeine, check your post count. Funny you should bring that up, as this game threw me the ol' S first. After a heaping truckload of failures to break 54 by following the "go for singles" advice, I decided to just throw it out the window, and got 53 on my first try. Go figure. Cleared 40 lines on 2007-11-10 at 21:31 (rot=SRS, lock=Move reset, rnd=7-piece Bag, spin=Off, speed=Zero) (grav=Naive, drop=None, are=0 ms, das=83 ms Instant, shadow=Faint color, next=3 pieces) (10x20, bottom=Off) Played for 0:53.35 (active 0:48.75) Played 104 tetrominoes (116.96 per minute, 128.00 per active minute) Pressed 327 keys (3.14 per tetromino) Made 40 lines (single: 6; double: 1; triple: 0; home run: 8; T single: 0; T double: 0; T triple: 0) Sent 40 garbage (44.98 per minute) Left 12 blocks behind LJ score: 12000 0.39 .ljm
Re: [Lockjaw] 40 Lines & 180 Seconds Thanks for your tips Just 3 seconds under my first attempt And the video Link note: When i play i've some controller bug ,and it's not very good when I play '
Re: [Lockjaw] 40 Lines & 180 Seconds Kiruat, it might help with the conversion from TGM if you set the next pieces to appear at the top, rather than the side. You get fewer previews, but I found it a little less disorientating, and my mind was better suited to looking at the next piece.
Re: [Lockjaw] 40 Lines & 180 Seconds Thank you for your tip rosti i'll try on my next attempt Just 1 sec under my previous attempt but the game was better except the end i didn't fail the end i think i'd made 3/2 sec less And the video Link
Re: [Lockjaw] 40 Lines & 180 Seconds yeah 1:50 if i continue like this i'll make 1:30 the next week And the video Link
