Re: [Lockjaw] 40 Lines & 180 Seconds It's because Blockbox implements exactly the same thing with replays and is for the most part ghett0-proofed.
Re: [Lockjaw] 40 Lines & 180 Seconds ^ Am I reading this post wrong or does anyone else not understand it?
Re: [Lockjaw] 40 Lines & 180 Seconds Kevin means that Blockbox has a mode just like LJ drill attack, but with easily accessible replays and cheater-proof.
Re: [Lockjaw] 40 Lines & 180 Seconds Also, there is a difference between the garbage systems. In Blockbox the hole is always on a different place, in Lockjaw there is the possibility to get quite non-random garbage if you're lucky, like in the demo i attached.

Re: [Lockjaw] 40 Lines & 180 Seconds gs68: Congrats on your first (i guess?) sub 60! It was a great feeling when I got it, I hope it's the same for you. =)
Re: [Lockjaw] 40 Lines & 180 Seconds Yes, it's a great feeling indeed! Sub 60 seconds was my primary objective when I started playing. Now sub 40 seconds is the ultimate objective. Given some time and practice you will soon be around 50 seconds if you keep it up. You have been progressing quite nicely I must say. I think I struggled far more.
Re: [Lockjaw] 40 Lines & 180 Seconds I know that it's generally not allowed for all other leaderboards, but what are people's thoughts on allowing Blockbox 40 lines scores to be added to this leaderboard alongside the Lockjaw ones? Considering the whole point of lockjaw 40 lines was the sort of "how fast can you possibly play without any game-imposed restrictions?", I don't think it'd necessarily be outside of the spirit of the leaderboard.
Re: [Lockjaw] 40 Lines & 180 Seconds Hadn't played 40lines for a while and figured that I should be able to do this. Code: Result: Cleared 40 lines at level 40 on 2009-05-01 at 20:01 Played 103 tetrominoes in 0:49.70 (124.34/min) (active time only: 0:44.93, 137.53/min) Pressed 341 keys (3.31/piece) Made 40 lines (single: 11; double: 4; triple: 3; home run: 3; T single: 0; T double: 0; T triple: 0) Sent 23 garbage (27.76 per minute) Left 8 blocks behind LJ score: 8600 Options Well: 10x20, Enter: Below Speed: Zero, ARE: 0 ms Randomizer: History 6 rolls of Tetrominoes Hold: On, empty, Rotation: SRS+initial Lock: Never, Deep: Off Line clear: 0 ms Naive, Gluing: Off Drop score: None, T-spin: 3-corner T Garbage: Off, DAS: 150 ms Instant Soft drop: 1G Slide, Hard drop: Lock Shadow: Faint color, Next: 8
Re: [Lockjaw] 40 Lines & 180 Seconds Congrats Radish! Breaking 50 seconds isn't easy. I wouldn't mind at all, but first I need to know if there is strong support for this. Also DIGITAL is the owner of this thread and I think he should ultimately have the last word. Not long ago I tried to add the 40 lines challenge to kotetsu213's [ALL] 100 Lines Open Challenge thread (that I acquired for a short while) so as to give everyone a chance to post their fastest time in any program under any condition. But I failed to lure people to submit their records so I returned the thread back to kotetsu213 in its original state. Maybe this will have more success.
Re: [Lockjaw] 40 Lines & 180 Seconds I agree. I'd be more motivated to participate if Blockbox and Heboris scores were allowed.
Re: [Lockjaw] 40 Lines & 180 Seconds I agree it's in the spirit of the thread to allow scores from any tetris game that has a 40 line mode here, because no one should be able to beat the best lockjaw score, with idealized settings and insta shift macros.
Re: [Lockjaw] 40 Lines & 180 Seconds They can easily, because Blockbox 40 lines also gives the same 40 lines settings with instant shift and the like. The difference for me is that the menus are far more intuitive and less bloated with settings I'll never use, and graphically it's also far better and that actually allows me to play more quickly. Plus I find it far more fun.
Re: [Lockjaw] 40 Lines & 180 Seconds BlockBox also has true zero delays, whereas the lowest line clear LockJaw can provide is 1 frame.
Re: [Lockjaw] 40 Lines & 180 Seconds How can the program know which settings a user will or will not use before displaying them?
