Re: [Lockjaw] 40 Lines & 180 Seconds Woah, you shaved off over a second from your previous record Jono! That 200+ TPM sure looks nice.
Re: [Lockjaw] 40 Lines & 180 Seconds I'm going to try to narrow the gap just a bit. Code: Cleared 40 lines at level 60 on 2007-12-30 at 22:22 (Well: 10x20, Enter: Above, Speed: Rhythm, ARE: 0 ms, Randomizer: History 6 rolls of Tetrominoes) (Hold: Empty, Rotation: SRS initial, Lock: Never, Deep: Off) (Line clear: 0 ms Naive, Gluing: Off, Drop score: None, T-spin: 3-corner T, Garbage: None) (DAS: 83 ms 1G (60 Hz), Soft drop: 1G Lock, Hard drop: Lock, Shadow: Faint color, Next: 3) Played for 0:36.43 (active 0:31.40) Played 106 tetrominoes (174.56 per minute, 202.54 per active minute) Pressed 324 keys (3.05 per tetromino) Made 40 lines (single: 16; double: 7; triple: 2; home run: 1; T single: 0; T double: 0; T triple: 0) Sent 15 garbage (24.70 per minute) Left 20 blocks behind LJ score: 7000
Re: [Lockjaw] 40 Lines & 180 Seconds not that significant, but the first time i've ever gone under 41 seconds: Cleared 40 lines on 2007-12-31 at 08:10 (Well: 10x20, Enter: Above, Speed: Zero, ARE: 0 ms, Randomizer: Bag of Tetrominoes) (Hold: Empty, Rotation: Arika 3 FK initial, Lock: Step reset, Deep: Off) (Line clear: 0 ms Naive, Gluing: Sticky, Drop score: None, T-spin: 3-corner T, Garbage: None) (DAS: 133 ms 1G (60 Hz), Soft drop: 1G Slide, Hard drop: Lock, Shadow: Faint color, Next: 3) Played for 0:40.10 (active 0:35.46) Played 101 tetrominoes (151.12 per minute, 170.86 per active minute) Pressed 335 keys (3.31 per tetromino) Made 40 lines (single: 8; double: 2; triple: 4; home run: 4; T single: 0; T double: 0; T triple: 0) Sent 27 garbage (40.39 per minute) Left 4 blocks behind LJ score: 9400
Re: [Lockjaw] 40 Lines & 180 Seconds Ah thanks. Nothing close to yours though hehe. I almost got some 180s in but I always managed to screw up during the last few lines hehe.
Re: [Lockjaw] 40 Lines & 180 Seconds first sub 50 for me. Cleared 40 lines on 2008-01-04 at 23:37 (rot=SRS, lock=Classic, rnd=7-piece Bag, spin=3-corner T, speed=Zero) (grav=Naive, drop=None, are=0 ms, das=116 ms 1G (60 Hz), shadow=Faint color, next=8 pieces) (10x20, bottom=Off) Played for 0:49.96 (active 0:45.10) Played 103 tetrominoes (123.68 per minute, 137.02 per active minute) Pressed 376 keys (3.65 per tetromino) Made 40 lines (single: 9; double: 12; triple: 1; home run: 1; T single: 0; T double: 0; T triple: 0) Sent 18 garbage (21.61 per minute) Left 12 blocks behind LJ score: 7600
Re: [Lockjaw] 40 Lines & 180 Seconds great job (not to make it sound like work or anything, but it can be).
Re: [Lockjaw] 40 Lines & 180 Seconds thanks, i still got a ways to go compared to the rest of you but it's always funner when you have something to strive for. I can only dream of having a job where i have to play tetris.
Re: [Lockjaw] 40 Lines & 180 Seconds A little bit better.............. Cleared 40 lines on 2008-01-06 at 08:26 (rot=SRS, lock=Move reset, rnd=7-piece Bag, spin=3-corner T, speed=Zero) (grav=Naive, drop=None, are=0 ms, das=116 ms Instant, shadow=Faint color, next=3 pieces) Played for 0:30.86 Played 103 tetrominoes (200.21 per minute) Pressed 309 keys (3.00 per tetromino) Made 40 lines (single: 5; double: 4; triple: 1; home run: 6; T single: 0; T double: 0; T triple: 0) Sent 32 garbage (62.20 per minute) Left 8 blocks behind LJ score: 10400 - Jono
Re: [Lockjaw] 40 Lines & 180 Seconds Interestingly enough, I noticed that eks was the first one to submit a record from Lockjaw 0.41, and everyone who posted after eks, except for DIGITAL and matt_hatter83, is still running an old version of Lockjaw.
Re: [Lockjaw] 40 Lines & 180 Seconds I only update periodically, or when there's something specific in the release that appeals to me. It's laziness really, as I basically can't be bothered updating every time there's a new version.
Re: [Lockjaw] 40 Lines & 180 Seconds No offence Tepples, there was no need for me to update after a demo/record feature was added. For me its not so much laziness as it is pointless, its like getting new parts for a perfectly good/running machine, why fix/change what is already working fine? - Jono[/quote]
Re: [Lockjaw] 40 Lines & 180 Seconds nice run cdsboy and i can't believe we have 12 people under 50 seconds now.
Re: [Lockjaw] 40 Lines & 180 Seconds something can always get better if you ask me. what if blizzard stopped patching starcraft after the first year? it would still work, but i doubt it would be as popular. and lockjaw is far from perfect-- no offense, just making a point.
Re: [Lockjaw] 40 Lines & 180 Seconds Been getting back into Lockjaw 40 lines recently and finally managing to hit the sub 50 second mark fairly consistently now - also playing Tetris Splash (which I almost forgot about, as I've not played that in a while since it was released) prior to Lockjaw has helped a bit. Cleared 40 lines on 2008-01-08 at 20:11 (rot=SRS, lock=Never, rnd=7-piece Bag, spin=3-corner T, speed=Zero) (grav=Naive, drop=None, are=0 ms, das=133 ms 1G (60 Hz), shadow=Monochrome, next=1 pieces) (10x20, bottom=Off) Played for 0:46.86 (active 0:42.00) Played 102 tetrominoes (130.58 per minute, 145.71 per active minute) Pressed 333 keys (3.26 per tetromino) Made 40 lines (single: 12; double: 9; triple: 2; home run: 1; T single: 0; T double: 0; T triple: 0) Sent 17 garbage (21.76 per minute) Left 8 blocks behind LJ score: 7400
Re: [Lockjaw] 40 Lines & 180 Seconds Hehe, I don't suppose that y'all are still running an old MS-DOS/W311 machine, are ya <LOL>? Sorry, couldn't resist, simply making a point <G>
Re: [Lockjaw] 40 Lines & 180 Seconds Well, currently my graphics card is around 7 or 8 years old (NVidia Inno Riva TNT2 Model 64 if anyone cares). My hard-drive is 40GB in size. If it wasn't for things breaking and needing to be replaced, I'd still be running Windows 98SE on 128MB RAM. As it stands my computer got an overhaul about a year ago when the motherboard and processor went haywire and most things got replaced by the tech guys (including the OS) so I now run XP with 512MB RAM. In short "if it ain't broke, don't fix it (or pay money for an upgrade)" is very much the motto used for my PC.
Re: [Lockjaw] 40 Lines & 180 Seconds Well I guess using an old DOS machine is breaching the terms "prefectly good" and "working fine". - Jono
Re: [Lockjaw] 40 Lines & 180 Seconds Anyone knows me knows that I agree *1000%* with all of the above - all of my machines are old clunkers, but they work superbly and do what I need 'em to do - plus, I'm a real stickler/nut for older PC stuff. BUT... although I don't agree with camping out in front of CompUSA awaiting the newest Mickey$oft release (like many nutz have done in years past), I DO agree with upgrading certain software depending on circumstance - Windows/other M$ OS? Hell no! Upgrade patch for a game, or other free upgrade for some other application software (that adds new features, or fixes previous bugs)? Most definately --- which is why to me <IMHO> upgrading hardware and upgrading something like LockJaw is "apples 'n' oranges", so to speak. (refering to Caffene's post about StarCraft) A prime example... every SC upgrade patch was not only free, but (usually <G>) fixed bugs in the game, as well as adding totally new features. Blizzard is very high on my software developer/company list due to there excellent support for SC throughout all these years (almost a decade now?). My only gripe was/is those massive patch files that chug my dialup down to a screaming death <G>. Hehe, from the afore-mentioned web page "and still operational"... sounds perfectly good and working fine to me <LOL>!
