My reasoning is if you're going to pronounce it Tee Eye, why even write a lowercase "i"? I would pronounce TI as Tee Eye, but Ti as Tee.
I think that's because the Japanese don't know uppercase i exists. Almost like they avoid it because of its L-like appearance. See also: TiT
That is, unless you're trying to port TGM3 to a graphing calculator There's no TGM game in the first 17 results of Google: Ti Tetris.
I've been pronounce it the same way you would a Tie. Like Tuh-eye. That isn't even a choice. Man I was off.
This actually makes more sense to me than tee. Just like the number pi. But the lower case i is truly a Japanese quirk. They often spell tetris TETRiS.
Ti = Tee Eye TAP = Tap. Tah puh? I guess if you want to type it out. One syllable... moving on. Shirase = She rah say Death = Deth 20G = Twenty Gee Yeah, that's all I'm doing.
