I've put Tetramino on hold so I can work on President. In this clone war, I see it as a tactical withdrawal, not a surrender. Withdrawing Lockjaw from the net, as Hosiken did with Heboris 2001, would be tantamount to giving up. And if I wanted to be really nasty, I could turn coat and report the maintainers of other GPL falling block games: J. Marcin Gorycki of Gnometris, Nicolas Hadacek of KSirtet, and Michael Speck of LTris, but I have no intention of doing that.
When did Arika become TTC's bitch for clearing all unofficial Tetris videos of YouTube? I'd join the fight if I was willing to actually let Arika have my details. Unfortunately, I'm not, because I don't want to give them a chance to file a lawsuit against me unrelated to the videos.
Sent a counter-claim. When my old account comes back, I'm gonna throw a party by uploading all of my best replays.
I think it's clear at this point that Arika don't have a licence to release TGM4 (that is if they even have anything in the making) and are just dicking around with lies and FUD to extend the lifetime of Ti. The time of the clones is now. It's time for the apprentice to become the grandmaster.
Or perhaps Arika is being such punks to GET the license.... I have it on good authority that Mihara was at the tetris summit this year, and TTC was listening...
I'm wondering how long until my sole Texmaster replay is flagged, if it isn't already. Mmnope, still there. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YuXOSIin ... annel_page
i see no other reason for arika to invest manpower just for shutting down videos, other than beeing shortly before a new release of some kind. maybe a ps3 tetris game ? or *hope* a wii incarnation of arika style tetris game.
Roughly translates to "Thank you for your email. We have processed your counter-notification regarding your video clip [webaddress]. This content has been restored and your account will not be punished." IN YOUR FACE, ARIKA. That is all.
Nice. Now the question is if I can be bothered digging up the email to restore my old account. Having two would still be a bit annoying, and most of my older videos are crap compared to my ones now. If anything, it's the non-Tetris ones that I miss more.
So we pronounce it like the name "Erika", to show how "sissy" their behavior has become? Arika can't touch Hebothis.
Oh wow, I got three more Copyright Infringement notifications from Arika for the *EXACT SAME* videos as last time. This is getting annoying. I mean how can they even do this for the, I repeat, exact same videos...
Arika's behavior might fall under 17 USC 512(f), but then you'd probably need to sue Arika to get the use of this loophole to stop. Such a lawsuit might involve the determination of whether clones actually infringe, and I'd imagine that that would be a lot of work.
Does YouTube not have some system to ignore companies/people who repeatedly take off videos but then don't respond to counter-notices?
