After "warming up", I got 849 on my second game. I know I can do better, but I must post to increase the DEATH TOLL.

 

Tired and cranky on account of a bad morning, this is all I'm going to do today. Still...

I will play more tomorrow or Friday or the weekend, and on TAP for that matter...playing like crap today, plus for whatever reason sound isn't working on SDLMAME on my linux box (even though sound is working elsewhere...), so I'm going to have to play on my craptop.

Just wanted to get at least ONE half-respectable score on Torikan day before I give up for today and wait until I'm playing a little better.

can't beat the 461 that i got the day before the carnival started...best i've got is a 436...didn't record the time.

 

please Rosti..I am sure you can understand...What is 2 days ? 48 hours ?
It is not like I would have done it 2 months ago..

Anyway, I am really trying to do my best to understand that :

Why so many people continu to play out of the real DEATH..
Now we have a version of mame with almost no input lag, but people prefer Texmaster and heboris hee heh..

Why ? Seriously, I wonder...........

 

reasons for which I used to find myself playing texmaster:
-loaded more quickly
-able to start from level xxx easily without using a cheat, and without messing up section times.
-slightly different feel (mostly aesthetics)
-automatically saves all replays. note that I have mame set up to record an inp whenever i play, but i never save anything unless I make a new record.

reasons for which I probably won't be using texmaster for awhile:
-my joystick doesn't work. When I press "left" on my joystick, it rotates, AND does hold piece. wtf.

reasons for which I never use heboris:
-too many versions, too confusing. some versions didn't work. etc etc etc.

 

you are forgetting this one :

-Defaut simulation of the DAS which makes Texmaster slightly more reactive and easier than the real DEATH mode..

Currently 148 in 01:45:06 in Tex ... Sorry, but I haven't got a recent version of MAME on ubuntu yet.
Compiling 0.130u1 as we speak though.

Don't really know what Carnival of Death is.

• Can everyone participate?
• Do you need to sign up?
• Is it illegal to play other games than TA. Death everywhere on TC during this time?
• For those of us that play mostly death every day, isn't it just like any other week?
