well the easiest reason to doubt the validity of the vid is the lack of documented performances. that guy would play every clone to beat every highscore board there is. specifically cultris. there is no reason he wouldn't be the top cultris player, everyone else plays below 200. so it's silly. i'm declaring it fake.
Quadra uses "tetrominoes per active minute", which doesn't count entry or line clear delays. Under this rule, anybody who clears the first section of TAP Master in under 65 seconds (including at least 42 seconds of these delays) is running at between 200 and 300 TPAM.
polly was going at least 230 in between line clear animations (real time tpm). even though it's only for fifteen seconds or so, i still think it's amazing. if you don't believe the vid, play some quadra and you'll see people like him performing that fast.
what the hell is the point of that statistic? can someone please go calculate the fastest tgm1 tpm minus ARE/line clear----7 per second?
I thought Cultris was written in the Java language: write once, run anywhere. Or does it use a part of the Java class libraries that happens not to be implemented in Apple's JVM?
well it is written in java. but they are not using the normal wrappers. so i have no way of running it.
to make it work on mac try that. http://www.tetrinet.fr/cultris/cultris.jnlp ALso i'd like to play lockjaw on linux and it doesent work with the emulator wine so do u plan on making a port??
