good point, very true. there are alot of differences between the 2 games. let me change what i said before and say that i have an advantage because i am more accustomed to playing with random garbage from my experience on tetrinet.
Rosti LFC 15 - 1 Petitprince Starting to find my form at last. Kiruat, if you could name a time or place to arrange our match, I'd be grateful.
Good games everyone. I hope I can play both my games this weekend. I'll be available later today and the whole day tomorrow. Just let me know something over here or on the IRC. I only need about 30 minutes to prepare for the games before actual play.
Alright...I played my match against Ai, but the game froze at 13-5. Blockbox-D3D refuses to load now, and just refreshes the page every time it tries to load the game. Bug? Maybe. Either way, I do intend to finish the match, so Ai and I will find another time to finish when the D3D blockbox works again.
Won the first 2 games and started misdropping all over the place for some reason (probably got overexcited). But still he's the faster player and better at clearing garbage. This means I'm as good as out of the tournament barring a miracle turnaround. Anyway I'm looking forward to finish the game and get a little closer.
Movies of Rosti vs Petitprince are here (somehow Youtube decoded the movies wrong, so the first 40 seconds show garbled footage..) Part 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PWeQ0ULVYow Part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3thWMv1nVl8
I give up all my match until the game become playable with poor computers like my computer wich sucks so rosti you win... congrats. -Kiruat
I was playing decently until 5-5 after which Baxter started playing better. I'm officially out of the tournament. Finishing the game against KevinDDR is merely a formality now. It was a nice experience. I pushed myself the last few weeks for the tournament and improved my speed a little. I feel a better player. But still a long way to go. Good luck for those still in the tournament. I'm looking forward to the next event.
I certainly won't never call somebody "God" who is unable to manage a Tetris game with the ARS system.. If we could quantify and add the SRS and ARS Skill, you as me digital would be far over blink.. Kan ? Yes, maybe him, he is a god..Because he can complete a TI Gm rank in both ARS and SRS, with hold, no hold.. Merci pour ta participation et ton bon esprit Ai !
I think you're totally misunderstanding me in this regard by taking my words too literally. The point I'm trying to make is that blink is a world class multiplayer SRS player. He is strong enough to compete and even defeat the most prolific SRS top player in Japan (who has been undefeated in a match afaik). Hell, even before SRS was properly conceptualized and defined, blink was a monster at multiplayer on TNet. I'm sure there are people here who can give testimony to that. I'm not talking about being well-rounded here in the least. If I were, Jin8 would certainly be at the top of the heap no doubt about that. Even though he's not the best in every area, he's certainly freaking strong in all of them.
No, you're just missing the whole point. Blink will win this contest. It was decided before it even began. Whether or not he's good in death/shirase/etc doesn't apply to this contest, because this tests a particular set of skills, a set which Blink dominates in. That doesn't say anything about the other contests (though at this point I forgot what they were.)
Blink is definitely powerful, probably the best 0G random garbage VS player on TC, but to stop fellating him for a moment this contest in particular would benefit from DAS finesse which I believe is not a strong point of his.
Yeah really. Blink's godly, I'm the first one to admit that, but he's not Michael Phelps. If samaf can beat him, I wouldn't say he has this tournament in the bag.
