i like Amnesia's idea of choosing a bunch of players and saying that objectively they're about equal (as it's hard to compare them). but i would go ahead and put blink, maserati, virus, fnord, and other speed players in that group. after all there are several players in his top ten that play TGM games almost exclusively, so to a lockjaw/tfast player they are unproven. but anyways i voted for DIGITAL. i think he's the most complete player here. blink would probably be 2nd.
I voted for Digital, but I'm very surprised that caffeine has zero votes. I thought for sure he'd be second in the poll.
Lol, I was thinking about this just the other day. I would have to say toss up between Digital and Caffeine. What my old Tetris buddy has no votes!!! Shame on you all! - Jono EDIT: Fixed
I was about to say Caffeine as well. Back in the days Caffeine he would blind you with amazing speed and precision. He has been laying low on tetris for a little while i think.
caffeine: what do you even play any more? I see no TGM/Hebo/Texmaster records, don't know if you play Tetris DS... Is it Lockjaw exclusively (if at all), or some other game?
i'm vietnamese american born in california and still living in california. I doubt caffeine plays any ARS so if he sucks at it, it's only because he isn't familiar with it due to lack of using it. He is a very strong SRS player (good stacking, speed, knowledge), these skills translate over to all tetris games, so if he got accustomed to ARS controls i'm pretty sure he'd be a very strong ARS player as well. Also he's good in both multiplayer and singleplayer. ooooh what city digital? and monte, you should come by the arika chat, the tetris chat was dead so i stopped goin there.
offcourse it was a joke !! caffeine suck on ARS as well as I suck on SRS.. I don't want to be banished..
fuck ! And thanks Ex_mosquito.. I would like to add that I am the most diversified player here, and the one who have have travelled the more for meeting TC people..Once I will have met Rosti and edo in England, I will be known as the "international tetris player" of TC.. If I work in USA, in October, I will try to meet also some american player..
i have no doubt that Amnesia belongs on the list. He is one of the strongest players on here in some areas of tetris. I'm pretty strong in low gravity play myself. afer all i did get 203 back to back tetrises with ARS and te Arika randomizer. But overall, I am weak. I must improve my high speed and 20g play significantly if I am to ever become a GM.
Being quite new here and to tetris in general I didn't vote. And honestly I wouldn't know who to choose either. But I was surprised when I saw the results. I expected the results to be much closer than they are now. I had no idea DIGITAL was that great. But I always had the impression Jono, coulour_thief, Amnesia, DIGITAL and Jago were the people to beat. Maybe because they post on the forums more frequently than the other great players.
