Try a "no singles" Run.. there might be a table ranking somewhere..
I finally agreed a bit with that,
reducing my high from 80% to 60% of the field for 0 --> 300 levels. The difference of time is really neglectable (maybe 2sec on the whole thing) but you will drive to lv500 4 times more attempts.
I remember 3 years ago, i was able to clear the game with S9 but with times around 14 minutes. Eventually I understood that I had to use the down button.
Yes you MUST use manual lock, and you should lock manually every piece. But the good new is that you don't have to do it a good timing at all. Just get used to press down for every tetromino .
Stacking high is on the other hand totally useless, however you should practice stacking in order to make tetrises at 20G speed.
Which part of the game should I manual-lock the most ? Do you have some % ? Like 100% at Lvl 100-250, 80% at Lvl 300-500, and 50% from 500, or something like that ?
All of it.
But like I said, if you're in a difficult situation, stop locking until you're out of danger.
OK, let's train heavy manual locks !
No, I disagree, try to lock the whole way, then it depends what we can call "danger".
Exemple, with your current level, if you stuck yourself with a hole in the 5th or 6th column at 20G, and if you are around the middle of the stack, we can call this a danger, maybe you will never be able to solve this hole in the center. Seriously there are some day where I just die because after 3min at very slow speed, I cant find a fucking solution to solve this kind of hole.
So in this situation, if you are in the 2 last sections near the goal, continu to lock a little bit, just enough because if you survive in the superior half of the game, maybe you can still pull off a GM.
After 2-3 days of training, at last, broken few times today !
Please... Don't tell me I have to play at the same speed for all game long ?
Keep on manual locking and it'll become slower and slower.
