Carnival season ain't over yet! For the first time on today, May 23, comes the Carnival of Darkness, where we specifically play the type of Death where we can't see anything. The rules are simple: you play Phantom Mania, you struggle to remember where everything is, you die because you made too many holes, you post your best level here, and you die again. There are two engines that currently support Phantom Mania with the correct rules: Nullpomino and Cambridge. On Nullpomino, the allowed rulesets are Classic2, Classic3, or anything Standard. On Cambridge, the allowed rulesets are Classic ARS on Phantom Mania, and Ti-ARS or SRS on Phantom Mania N. (The only difference between the two is that Phantom Mania only allows one piece preview and no hold, while Phantom Mania N allows three previews and a hold.) Each ruleset class (Classic ARS / Classic2, Ti-ARS / Classic3, SRS / Standard) will have its own leaderboard. And here's my own entry from Cambridge-SRS, to kick things off: I've gotten rusty. I used to be able to easily pass the 2:28 torikan, but now I'm over by 11 seconds.
There we go, I cleared the first gate. And one for Classic ARS: And Ti-ARS too: That last one's well on the way to breaking the torikan!
