I spoke to Bas today and initially the plan was to move in June, but now maybe it might be moved to after the Dutch Design Week (which is in October), which would mean we'd be able to hold the meeting in September, but at the old location. However they can't guarantee the move won't happen in September so it's a bit too early to pin down a date just yet. There's also the potential issue of high speed internet as it took 18 months last time to get glass fibre installed, and with all this uncertainty (right now there's not even an address or postal code in the registry to order an internet connection at) it'll be difficult to plan ahead. More info soon!
More information GET!! Looks like it's 90% certain that Het Glaspaviljoen will move location after October, so we can safely plan for September and it'll be at the old location, meaning fast internet is secured. I will still need approval but I'm going to try planning for 14-17 September. Please let me know if that is an unacceptable date for anyone. I can't guarantee that we can plan around everyone's schedules though, there is only a finite amount of weekends in September. @TGGC is supplying a 29" Sony Trinitron for the meeting! Super stoked. We might be able to have all three TGMs on 29" monitors this way. Also I would like to recruit at least one stream sidekick. I want to go as all-out as possible on the stream, with multiple layouts depending on how many games are being played at once, and I can't always be at the stream PC to keep an eye on it. It would also be nice to have some more Twitch chat interaction. So let me know if you want to help out! That's it for now
I will probably be there (though Becca is basically all out of holiday for the year so won't be). If so I'm happy to be the stream sidekick.
Dates are now 100% confirmed. The administration and treasurer agreed with the dates and terms so it'll be the same as last time. Drinks from the bar, and public access. This time we'll set up the table facing the windows so that people can see what we're doing instead of looking at the ass end of CRT monitors. Hopefully we'll get a few more visitors that way. Also NB: I don't have Facebook right now, something with being called "Muf" on Facebook is against the rules of the Online Reich so I'm dealing with the Facebook Gestapo trying to get it back. You can reach me here on the forum or on IRC for the time being.
I will arrive on wednesday for sightseeing and shopping in Eindhoven and join the meeting on thursday, too! Another friend of mine from the german meeting will also be there.
Discussed with my friend if we should contribute with some hardware. I can bring the USB Arcade sticks I had last time with me, if there is any use for those. In addition we could bring a Nindento Switch with Puyo Puyo Tetris, the controllers and an LCD TV (32") if people are interested in this game.
Does anyone who's attending the full weekend (thurs-sun) have an OSSC, XRGB-2/3 or XRGB-mini they can bring? I still haven't been able to successfully capture Final Tetris, and I figure a scaler might help. Also, there are hotels available again, the same cheap room you can all pool in and share the (already low) cost, and I can supply extra mattresses. There's also the Blue Collar Hotel nearby if you're looking for something fancier and have money to burn. Both are within a minute walking distance from the venue (okay, maybe two minutes).
I've ordered an OSSC diy kit a few days ago, I could bring it. (Seems that I'll be spending my weekends on soldering so I can have it finished before the meeting)
