...Then you should ask for a refund. It's not worth getting upset over, it's just a free game. With an extremely reasonable price to remove most of the grinding.
Yeah, I'd agree with c_t here. They could quite easily have justified charging people $10 or $20 for the game up front. It's a bitch that they make it free to start with and then give incentives to pay money a few months down the line, but considering it is still fundamentally a free game, and those who pay money aren't handed a massive advantage over those who don't, I don't think there's much room to complain.
anyone know how to get premium or know what it does? i cant read japanese but i was stupid enough to buy these scratcher things that ended up being a 6.44$ USD charge on my credit card, and i still dont have premium, nor do i know how to obtain these scratchers
anybody still playing this? I recently got back into it, and the competition there is strong. its a shame more TC players dont play.
thanks m , i can give it a try. i don't know how well that will run on my computer, but i'll try running virtual Windows 2k because i know TOJ works on it.
Was it just the .exe? I just zipped my laucher and uploaded to my website, here you go: http://143.homelinux.com/dump/TetrisOnlineLauncher.zip
Hello, if you getting errors, try new version of launcher: http://iiblocks.servegame.org/~wojtek/files/TetrisOnlineLauncher.zip source code: http://iiblocks.servegame.org/~wojtek/files/TetrisOnlineLauncher_src.zip They changed game server address while ago, for some time both old and new address worked, but seems now only new one works (I don't know if this is temporary or permanent).
dodd's link appears to be down. I mirrored the files on my server a while ago, but not the new version after the dns change. What's the new server address? I get "Could not resolve tetris.nefficient.jp" error. Assuming that's the old one. By the way, did any of you check out the translation project on Harddrop? EDIT: Here we go. Found it on HD. http://bziumm.mooo.com/~wojtek/TetrisOnlineLauncher.zip http://bziumm.mooo.com/~wojtek/TetrisOnlineLauncher_src.zip
Well, I'm a couple years late, but I finally got a Mac powerful enough to run Windows in a VM. I was all excited about talking with some Japanese Tetris players, but it seems like they never speak, even to each other.
Here is TOJ English Patch I made with few people. It used to popular among Hard Drop players, but recently Blink decided to remove links to it from his site because of unclear reasons. This is whole pre-patched game, so it's everything you need to play, you can even register from inside launcher without visiting Japanese sites. http://spock.ii.uni.wroc.pl/~wojtek/TetrisOnline_Patchi_Patchi_1_03a.zip http://toj.mooo.com/tetris/TetrisOnline_Patchi_Patchi_1_03a.zip
It all depends where majority of TOJ players will go. they have many chooses: TF, nullpomino, TOP and even TDS (seems it's still popular in japan).
