A little experiment turned out to actually work. This adds a new dimension to the grade system, making it a little easier to understand... Maybe [IMG] Anyway it is cool.

  4. the grade visualisation is a real innovation.

    congratulations, L0st! greeeat work!

what about putting grade on right side, and making the conveyor belt vertical? that way you wouldnt cross the playfield.

but the sound fx thing is really questionable. though it might be "reverse engineered" it is still a blatant copy of tgm style sounds...

maybe the community here really needs to make their own, distinct sound fx that can be used freely for clones. and that are not too far off from tgm sounds, so there is no adaptation problem.

  5. The owner can do that. But it is useless, since the game is not available for the public. This was an demonstration, leaving as much space available for the grades.

    You are fantastic LOst !!!

It is exactely what I need actually for my work with Sy..

I can recognize the usual gap between grad..

Just a question, your video does not show the distance between S8 and S9..The both are very close isn't it? [IMG]

  7. You are welcome [IMG]
The S8 and S9, as well as a few undefined grades are about to show up, but I ran out of youtube time.

Notice how I can reach grade 4 before level 200 thanks to seeing the grade closing up. So if you had a chance to play this game, you would probably be able to adjust your playstyle to reach some grades faster. But reaching S1 before level 500 is rather impossible. That was one of my dreams, to actually be the first to reach S1 before level 500.

    Wait, "undefined grades"?

  10. i like your sound fx, but they are kind of retro, wich is cool in its own way.

but i would like to see some highly polished modern sound fx.. in what ever way. i am no sound artist and i cannot imagine how a "ultra" modern up to date tetris should sound like.

there are 2-3 ways: sound retro, sound like original (tgm, tds or whatever), or improve over the past and raise the bar. somehow. at least, isnt it that most game audio designers come from the demo scene anyway? so isnt there someone who can do the job?
