  1. It's gonna be down guys. I'm not sure how long. Maybe a week. Don't worry it's all still there. It's just gonna be unavailable for a little. I'm making progress, but it's just gonna take longer than I thought.

Should there be a front page notice for visitors that don't frequent the forums?

  4. good idea

  5. those fucking spammers. maybe the only way to get rid of them is to allow only registered users to modify the wiki... sure. thats completely against the wiki idea, but the reality is different. it bites.

i had my little coreloop.com / gravytris.de homepage hacked three times. because of security holes in www.minibb.net (and probably me lacking some caution with non-write-chmodded index.php's) ... the funniest was this:

    http://www.coreloop.com/index____hacked____.php

(some "free kurdistan" hackers i assume)

    also nice:

    http://www.coreloop.com/index__hacked___23_again.php

thanks god, those hackers seem to have some kind of ethics and only overwrite the index.php....

i am curious how stable joomla and its forum + integrated wiki is against spam and hacking... i will know soon.. ( http://www.coreloop.com/blockout (workin progress))

  6. Have you tried this ?

  7. i'll look into that link after upgrading the wiki. first i want to get it up and running.

  9. good idea. just change the chmod?

There's a command within MediaWiki to lock the database.

  11. woah, just had a breakthrough. wiki may be up more quickly than i thought.

edit: high five! should be good to go. enjoy the new version. not sure why the logo's not working, but that'll have to wait for another day. i'm so proud of myself for figuring out this. p.s. petitprince: i tried the alternative skin you suggested, and while it looked pretty cool, i thought it was a little distracting from the text (being transparent and all). thanks for the effort anyhow. i'm open to new skin ideas, though.

  12. Nice! (Front page link needs changing though)

I really like seeing size differences in the "commit log", as ie's helpful to see when something major has been added or deleted.
