So you want to simulate Arika's TGM (Tetris The Grand Master) series on a Nintendo handheld. There are two fan games that can simulate TAP (Tetris The Absolute The Grand Master 2 PLUS) to an extent:

Lockjaw for Windows, DS, and GBA by tepples (info and download | discussion)

Over 30 options can be configured to simulate numerous Tetris products and fan games, including passable replicas of TAP's "master" and "death" modes, as well as challenges not found in any Tetris product.

KGM for GBA by Kitaru (discussion and download)

This game tries to clone TAP directly, featuring "master" and "death" speeds and reasonably arcade-accurate grading.

To play DS homebrew, you need a SLOT-1 flash card, a SLOT-2 flash card plus a NoPass card, or a SLOT-2 flash card plus a DS with custom firmware. To play GBA homebrew, you need only a SLOT-2 flash card.

    EDIT: accuracy

yes tepples, i knew aleady about this. i mean what about the game i mentioned? do any of you know about this yet?

  5. If you're talking about the one I think you're talking about, it uses copyrighted media. That's why there hasn't been discussion of it on the forums.

oops, i didn't know that, but it's still pretty well made.

  7. Hmm, not quite -- it does not feature Normal yet, actually. It has Master -- with 0G (M-roll disabled) and 20G variations -- and Death. Scoring is based on TGM1 and grading is based on TGM2. I might update the scoring and add a Normal mode at some point.

    Yes it's a great game.

The people behind the game you mention are very skilled indeed. A few days ago they released a new version with a few improvements. They added BGM and a few other things. The only thing missing as of now is a ranking system and different backgrounds every 100 levels.

It is a lot easier than the arcade version that's for sure. I haven't really played the high gravity modes a lot, but the TI high gravity mode is just insanely fast. You need to be uber good to keep up with that kind of speed.

i thought it was made by one guy.

backgrounds and BGM is really good but what i really want is HOLD. he said he will implement it. this is the most played game on my DS even though i have Tetris DS, i just use it for wi-fi now though and tgm for ds for single play.

You could be right. If so this guy is clearly skilled! ^^

I've been to the site a few times, but I honestly don't know if it's only one person or more. I too noticed he's trying to implement HOLD and a few other modes.

Anything more he adds to the game is welcome. But I hope he could make a ranking system similar to the one in the original TGM series.

I haven't been on Wifi yet. It's not like I stand a chance to get in the ranking. But I'll give it a try just to see how bad I am. ^^

Even though this is great homebrew I'd still prefer if ARIKA made a DS version. It would probably only be sold in Japan, but it would be worth importing for sure.
