Is this one second delay after every drop in TetriNET a feature or is something wrong in my program/connection?

Okay, it is a "feature". There is TetriFast but it's not very impressing either. Where do you guys play?

Currently, I'm playing Heboris, Lockjaw, and TAP. None of them have online multiplayer though.

See [[??]] on our wiki. You can simulate this "feature" in Lockjaw by setting maximum entry delay to 1 second.

  5. tepples, even people in Japan use the alphabet notation ("ARE"), not the hiragana.

It's pretty unfortunate Tetrinet has it - it's a game with a particular ruleset where ARE doesn't work well, giving people the impression that ARE is universally bad.

  6. Or even better, you can simulate it in Heboris in Practice, Simple, or VS mode by setting ARE to 60.

When will the conflicts end? We need one version that settles it all. [IMG]

    Why not play both?

  9. I always assumed the one second delay was for the use of items and stuff, which is why on Tetrifast, which I tend to play a lot more, there's usually no items.

  10. stormcat originally put the second lag in for latency issues. later people began to hack out the lag, and then eventually people just swapped to tfast. funny thing is that nowadays most people prefer regular tnet with the lag than tfast (or tnet2 for that matter).
