I've gathered from the front page that TCM stands for 'The Chicken Masters', but who are they? Where have they come from? I notice that Sen is among them, and some other high profile players. I played a few over the past week and wondered wtf it stood for. On a slightly different note, how many TGM-xxxxx players are there? The only TGM player I've ever come across is HOLiC. Are they rare, or am I just not getting up early enough to play them?
TCM are Japanese palyers who don't play TGM and find TGM palyers a little odd perhaps. And perhaps they are right! There probably lots of TGM players. We just tend to... play TGM instead.
On a completely different note, which doesn't merit its own thread, has anyone looked at HOLiC's scores on blockstats. They seem to stay static for a week or two and then take a 20 point jump. How does that happen? Are there inaccuracies in the data, or does HOLiC not play for ages, and then play for a whole day? I wouldn't accuse him of cheating though, because he is a damn good player.
a quick glance at the 2ch experts thread's fc listing shows at least some of the TCM guys played TGM1-3.
From what I've read on 2ch, the TCM are players with high ratings who are afraid to play worldwide too much/with lower-rated people/at certain times of day/etc. for fear of losing rating points. Which probably describes every single TDS player at one time or another.
So was NOAH, for a short while. At first the TCM only included NUu, T, and WC, but then everyone started getting in on the joke.
Does anyone know the previous name of TCM-???. (The ?'s are Japanese characters). Pentium would be my best bet, but I'm not sure. Still, he's on my friends roster.
The one at 8302? The japanese characters are "Minoru", I think, but I have no idea who it is. Caffeine thought it was Noah, but I played him today and he's called NOAHGachi. And I don't think it's Pentium, either, because Core Duo is still in the top ten. Edit: Well, it looks like I was wrong. Minoru was in fact Noah, who now has a new friend code, which explains why Minoru still shows up in the top ten, but Noah does too.
