TAP - Force Name Entry?

Thread in 'Discussion' started by Budster, 12 Dec 2009.

  1. I accidentally brought up the name entry at the end of a bad game of Death.

How is this actually done, and what does the code it gives you mean?

  2. You need to hold the rotation buttons down after you die to activate it. I don't think it was ever used for anything, but in theory it could be used to validate scores.

If, like me, you have a keyboard that doesn't actually let you press three keys at exactly the same time, you can alternatively just press A,B,C,A,B,C,A,B,C,A,B,C (etc.) really fast until the top-out animation stops.

i believe this was supposed to be an internet ranking code., to validate your score when it was submitted to an online leaderboard. A number of other games use similar things.

I'm not sure if it was ever implemented. if so, the leaderboard is probably long gone.

  5. Even if the weird code thing isn't useful (and I don't think any sort of leaderboard ever actually existed), it's quite nice to get the name on the screen for posting records.

99% of the time I forget anyway though.
