[MODDED--split from Tetris Friends up on Facebook.com] 115 tpm. No wonder I'm stuck at 30k General question for ST stacking. Do people normally stick to standard notches? Or do they just sorta free build em so they work right.
I'd really like to be able to answer that question in depth, but I really don't know. ST stacking is weird. I do know this definitely: whatever pieces you're using to make notches on one side of the T, avoid using them for the other side of the T. I just use S's on the left, so I'm thinking that on the right side (like in the wiki's demo), these setups below may be a little stronger. They all leave a three-wide surfaces on top, so you can loop them: I have to say that I prefer the ZJ the most since it leaves you with a four wide space of L/I/O, which seems to be good geometry. Even so, I use many different types of notches. The most important thing is to stay flexible. Trying to stick to some rigid and subjective routine will get you stuck every time.
Just posting this page as reference. I listed all the practical loops I could think of on there. [[ST Stacking Setups]]
So caffeine you use a two wide setup? Because I've been trying 3 wide and i'm terrible at stacking in the remaining 3 wide well.
you mean on the left side? i just s's, so yeah, i guess that would be a 2-wide. there's that article st setup article! i'm adding a much needed see also to the main ST article. edit: now that i'm reading about 3-wide, i'm thinking maybe i should switch.
