Over on gbadev.org (of all places) someone started a topic about spelling things with tetrominoes. Someone managed to spell "Jolly Stilts": Code: I J L L Y I L J OO L L YY SS TTT I L TTT SS JJ OO LL LL Y SS T I LL T SS Any more suggestions?
I managed to get 24 letters... Code: LLLI T LLL T OO LLL OO I I L I TT L TT OO L OO I I LLLI TOO J OOT L LLL J IJJJ I L I OO JJJ OO LLL L JJJ I J I I ZZ OO OO J IZZ L JJ LL JJLL TOO OOT JJ J ISS L JTTTL J L OO TT TT J JJ I SS LL J T L J L OO T T J I .... .... L J S Z L I J .... .... SS TTT L J SSZZ L I J .... .... ZZ SS T LLJJ SZ LLIJJ .... .... ZZ
i remember some guy and i on xbox live used to make tetromino art: Code: OO LL OO LLLL SSZZ LL SSJLZZ SSZZ JL SSOOZZ JJLL a man. OO breakdancing man. that's all i can remember.
While we're on the topic of composite tetromino letters, here's a better composite G: Code: JJ J J L LLL Likewise, the B, D, P, Q can be improved on: Code: T T JJJ LLL TT TT T J L T T L J T TT TT LLL JJJ T T K: Seems you got "The New Tetris box art syndrome" Your S and Z colorings are backwards. That U looks familiar... And is that W a Chinese "mountain"?
What is it with you and The New Tetris? You seem to think that I'm obbsessed with that game... I do like your improvements, though. And that W was the best I could think of. Maybe an upside-down M would be better...
It all stems from the same mistake that I made while illustrating the Playing forever proof. I then extended it to any confusion of L and J colors or S and Z colors in any game.
