    Hey all,

I'm after a sega VFHG, as you've probably read somewhere.

I'm just checking out the prices from play asia (the only vendor i can find) and it says their shipping prices to send it down under are 43-62 USD. That is almost as much as the expensive VFHG itself. Are these prices right? are there any other palces to get a VFHG from?

    thanks

  2. The price is right, the stick is _very_ heavy and the box is bulky. The shipping depends on where you live, I had to pay $55 shipping myself for my VSHG.

well that is just to much for me; ill have to find another store (i dont mind if the shipping isnt as lightning as play-asias) or just get a cheaper stick (which i dont really mind...

  5. If you're in the states you can order a hrap 3 from high-score for 99 shipped. http://high-scoreonline.com/store/

If you do order from them be sure to follow up with an email because they can lag sometimes on shipping stuff.

If you have a playstation to usb converter lying around you could also buy a HRAP 2 on ebay which can be usually found from 90-100 bucks shipped.

Hraps don't have sanwa buttons but the stick is sanwa so it should be good enough. If you ever want to upgrade the buttons later it's a pretty easy mod.

I think you'll find you have to pay about the same for a VSHG no matter who you get it from. The list price on playasia is cheap because of their location, but as you said shipping is cheap. Import stores' list price is usually quite a bit more because no matter what it costs a lot to get an arcade stick from japan to the US and they have to reflect the cost of shipping in the price.

I'm in australia; which is why i'm whinging [IMG]

buying from the US is not a problem, 100 shipped... I might just try and find a properiety setup, i'm not bothered to much by quality. but if i get enough use out of it; I might get a sanwa setup

However, I have an Arcade Power Stick. It's for sega megadrive (genesis to you yanks), but it appears megadrive > usb converters are very hard to find...

  7. oh right I forgot about your last thread. Yeah sorry man, unless you can find something on Australia's ebay or a local import shop you're out of luck. I wouldn't even bother ordering the cheaper sticks from playasia. They also have high shipping costs, don't feel very good and don't have 4 way movement.

I know there's a way to make your own genesis to usb converter but I can't find the article and it's probably not worth the effort.
