Hi everyone, I’m Michele, an indie developer from Italy, and I’d like to share a new falling‑blocks game I’ve been working on: FiveBlocksFall. It’s not a Tetris clone, but it’s clearly inspired by the genre. My goal was to keep the gameplay minimal, readable, and fast, while introducing a few mechanics that create new decision‑making moments without breaking the classic feel. Core mechanics Pieces are made of five blocks instead of four. Standard line clears, but with the addition of bombs and other special options Advanced mode with six blocks pieces Multi language support Windows build is available here: https://michelemura72.itch.io/fiveblocksfall It’s free and I’d really appreciate your feedback. Thanks for your time, and I hope you enjoy experimenting with it! — Michele
Here on YouTube, you can find this: A fast-paced run in Advanced Mode, combining traditional 5‑block pieces with brand‑new 6‑block shapes that completely change the flow of the game. To spice things up, I added extra starting clutter—making every move count. The result: 280K+ points and every Quest completed. If you like what you see, feel free to leave a rating!
I’ve recently added a small experimental feature to the game called MySocialScore. When players submit a high score, they can also attach a short public message that appears directly on the online leaderboard. It’s a tiny social layer, but I’m curious whether it adds anything to the classic falling‑blocks experience — maybe motivation, maybe personality, maybe nothing at all. If anyone here wants to try it and tell me what you think, I’d really appreciate feedback from people who know this genre well.
