REQUEST! @richnagel: could you compile (and maintain) a full package of 1. lockjaw 2. all your and others skins 3. your skin-selector 4. presets / ini's for different game modes ??? it would be so much nicer to have ONE zip file with all stuff in it, instead of installing and collecting all things seperate. i could provide webspace, i you are concerned about webspace / traffic or such things.
Webspace and bandwidth aren't a problem (I have virtually unlimited of both). But... the problem lies with this: I'm on dialup, and an extremely miserable one at that. Unfortunately it seems that I'll prolly never have any form of broadband out here in the sticks -> http://tang.cmoo.com/~snor/weeds/Weeds_ ... estead.htm <BG>. The file would take me literally eons to upload, and again (the same) anytime I create a new skin (or an upgrade for a previous one). Thanks for the interest though, by the wording of your message, it sounds like that you enjoy my little labours - (Edit) P.S. As far as others' skins, the only one that I know about is the "Minimal Glass Skin". Are there any others (just a-wondering, so's one of us can edit/add it/them to the Wiki here -> http://www.tetrisconcept.com/wiki/index ... kjaw_Skins ). P.P.S. This might help you (or anyone else) trying to snag my stuff: Although my forum sig has a link to my user page in the Wiki which contains links to all of my message posts here in the forums (which in turn, link to my various skin downloads), it could be quite a pain to sift through all of the message posts to find the links. Handy tip for all: surf to my main files archive at http://tang.cmoo.com/~snor/weeds/ (all lower-case, and the last trailing backslash must be included), and all of the files that are named Weeds_LockJaw_*.* as well as LockJaw_*.* is all of my LJ stuff - Since all of the various readmes and images are included in the various ZIPs, if your web browser truncates the filenames (making it difficult to see the file extensions - ".zip"), simply look for this icon/image -> http://tang.cmoo.com/icons/compressed.gif to know which ones to click on to download (or add to a batch download list) for the actual ZIP -
That page's music sounds like a cross between the "Moo Moo Farm" music of Mario Kart 64 and the "Choco Mountain" music of the same game. Now onto the pics: You haven't found any talking animals in the woods, have you? Literally? 1 eon == 1 billion years == 1.89e18 frames.
The tune on my page is my own rendition of the old Bluegrass song "Fox on the Run". Snag the MP3 version of the song (from the link at the bottom of the page) to hear how I hear it on my MIDI hardware - Hehe, none that were talking, but check this here (P.S. A web page that I did in response to a discussion elsewhere about "If I saw it on the Internet (or UTube), it MUST BE TRUE!!!!!!!!!" <LOL>! P.P.S. Select all text, and look at the bottom of the page <G>). Hehe, well, maybe not quite an eon (for the upload), but pretty close <G>.
hy richnagel, i love your way of life. back to nature, kind of... i really like that photo: http://tang.cmoo.com/~snor/weeds/Weeds_ ... _Large.jpg cats sometimes go strange
Hehe, unless lightning strikes <G>. I've been offline for the past few days or so, had a severe lightning storm that destroyed/took out all sorts of things (including the phone lines). Been working like a madman the past few days to repair lightning damage. Emily was a real sweet cat. She died last year (18+ years old, I had her since she was a kitten) -> http://tang.cmoo.com/~snor/weeds/Weeds_ ... _Large.jpg
my deepest sorries about your cat.... hope she had a nice life and a peaceful death. we (or , rather my girlfriend) have cats, too: http://www.coreloop.com/miri regarding your internet: cant you establish something like http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WIMAX ? i dont know the technique, maybe its too expensive ?!? was it only your caravan that was hit by the lightning? did you forgot the earthwire ?
Yes, she did (on both accounts). I had her since she was a small kitten. She died peacefully one day, and I knew that it was due to old age (18+ years old). Emily passed rather quickly. She was acting like she was having problems walking one day, and hadn't ate much in the previous day or so. The last night she got (quickly) progressively worse, and in a 4 hour period went from being able to (almost) get around to not being able to get up at all. I finally had to lay down and get some sleep that morning at about 11:30am, and when I woke up at 2:30pm she had already died. At least she wasn't in any pain, she seemed to be quite alert up until the end. I had been sitting on the floor petting and talking to her, and she even attempted a few meager purrs. It's amazing how fast body functions shut down when it's "time"... I remember the same thing when my Grandmother and Aunt passed years ago, quite a quick process. Some pretty cats on that web page, a few even look a bit like Emily - Nope, there is no WiFi capability out here in the sticks (or cable modem either), and even cell phone service is spurratic as well. I'm really not sure what all suffered the direct hits, but one of the trees in front of my trailer definately did. I don't have any lightning arresters on the property, but the trailer's AC power service (and internal wiring) is all properly grounded. Unfortunately, no grounding in the world can help the lightning strikes that we had out here <LOL>! P.S. Update to my web page at http://tang.cmoo.com/~snor/weeds/Weeds_ ... estead.htm ... added an update from May (that I hadn't previously got around to uploading until now), as well as pics and descriptions of the lightning damage. Check it out -
